THE past decade was the warmest ever on Earth, according to a new analysis of global surface temperatures released by NASA.
The US space agency also found that 2009 was the second-warmest year on record since modern temperature measurements began in 1880.
Last year was only a small fraction of a degree cooler than 2005, the warmest yet, putting 2009 in a virtual tie with the other hottest years, which have all occurred since 1998.
According to James Hansen, who heads NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, global temperatures change due to variations in ocean heating and cooling.
"When we average temperature over five or 10 years to minimise that variability, we find global warming is continuing unabated," Mr Hansen said.

NASA is at the heart of Global Warming /green movement to gain favor with the progressives....they will not let the real data go out .. the analysis... the data and then report to us... onely one company does the satellite down stream so plenty of opportunity to fool with the numbers. They wont let the raw data go.....
Their Scientist are involved with small companies owned by professors at Stanford ... if you think this is bad look up EARTH Skin project at Cisco...

Hansen is a loon with very little intelligence. The jig is up. It’s over. He needs to find a new scam and hoax to support himself. This one has been exposed by the light of truth and it isn’t pretty.
This guy has a stake in the software companies with the stanford professor for the new satellites. He offers a open source software package that is used to get satellite data. the Data is changed on the way down to who knows what ... so no real data here.... just manufactured data...

We are retreating form space exploration so why have it at all. Your right defund NASA and shut it down. If space is viable then let commercial take us.
