NAACP: Obama Energized 'Taliban Wing' of GOP

In a speech Wednesday, NAACP Chairman Julian Bond called on defenders of civil rights to support the country's first black president as he faces what is expected to be tough second year in office.

Bond's remarks at Radford University's fourth annual celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday came a day after the Democratic Party lost the late Ted Kennedy's Massachusetts Senate seat to Republican Scott Brown, and with it, the party's filibuster-proof majority.

The election puts Obama's health care overhaul in jeopardy and has caused speculation that public opinion may be turning against the president.

While "black faces in high places" give reason for hope, Bond, the 70-year-old founder of the storied Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, argued that "racism is alive and well for every nonwhite American, including the president.

"racism is alive and well for every nonwhite American, including the president.

So racism can't exist unless it's white on black? What an ass this Julian Bond is.

If MLK was alive today he’d tell the whole world what an ass Julian Bond is.

Taking the analogy a little further, the libs had better learn to be nice to us, and to give into our demands, or they will be handing us a fantastic recruitment tool.

I hate to say this, but the NAACP is obsolete and needs to be disbanded. The resources the organization uses up from contributions outweigh the actual good that the NAACP does. It was cool when we needed them during the heat of the Civil Rights movement, but black people don’t need the NAACP anymore. We have reached the pinnacle of success all through American society.

Yeah, right... the Taliban Wing of the GOP spoke volumes in Massachusetts on Tuesday... further proof that liberalism is a mental illness.

Comparing the Republicans to the Taliban is not just an attempt to demonize Republicans, but to also elevates the status of the Taliban from a harmless benign canasta-playing group to an evil terrorist movement which sadly, is one thing the left has had a hard time doing since 9-11. Ironic.

So now he’s saying Al-Qeada is evil.

NAACP- a bunch of old farts living on the glory of 50 years ago. Too bad the new generation of leadership wound up in Abortion clinic backdumpsters.

Heck, to get a black President, the NAACP had to settle for a Mulatto descendant of slaveowners and Muslim slavetraders.

My neighbors did not need them- Raised three great kids, nice home, good working people with a happy life.

When O was elected, it was great to tell the grandchildren they really could grow up to be president, and have them know it was no lie.

But out of hundreds of millions of black people...why did it have to be HIM?

Once again, the Blacks were cynically used by the Socialists.

So, julian bond want to compare the gop to the taliban? The taliban wants to bring down the USA. The current president and his party wants to bring down the USA. Seems that bond is either ignorant or dislexic.
Dislexics Untie!!

I wonder if our lil friend Julian would get his undies in a bunch to read references to the KKK wing of the NAACP?

Yes, I was really proud too, I even thought for a second that I would vote for him BECAUSE I was so proud. Then people pointed out to me that he doesn’t have the same belief system as me, he doesn’t love my country the way I do, he does not have the same values as me and I snapped out of that clouded thinking. The most unfortunate thing about Obama’s win is that he has probably killed the chances of the next would-be minority candidate.

I’m starting to feel sorry for these pathetic lefties.
They’ve got nothing going in their empty existence except political animus and a perpetual victimization mindset due to lack of character and self respect.

I am afraid you hit on something that no one wanted to say, but was just sitting there.

This was more than just a big chance for O. He threw his chances away, along with those of better people who may have deserved the Office. The Media refused to even look at the content of his character. We still have NO IDEA what the content was.

My Black neighbor and I used to joke that the only color that mattered in this society was $Green$.

No one suspected that "Red" could do so much damage, so fast, to so many people at once.
