Health Care Reform, Abortion, and Scott Brown [VIDEO]

Scott Brown is not what one would call an ardent pro-lifer. His record puts him squarely mid-field. Yet his victory in the Massachusetts senate race could be the boon that pro-lifers and conservatives have been needing.

While the Democrats have continued to ram legislation through, health care reform seems to be in great jeopardy. Liberals are open about the agenda, again going against the will of the people, by saying democrats now have to "move faster".

In an AP report yesterday House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., told reporters."The Senate bill clearly is better than nothing," Hoyer said. While insisting it would be feasible to quickly pass major legislation like health care, Hoyer refused to speculate on whether House Democrats could be cajoled into voting for the Senate bill without any changes, and sending it to Obama. Even though Brown is a moderate on abortion, I believe he is a good example of how incremental change can be necessary and accepted. He was certainly the ethical choice over Martha “Slaughter the Infants” Coakley.
