RAssmussen said a large turnout favors Coakley.Horse hockey. This is a statewide contest so the usual dynamics are altered from city and US House seats. Throw in cross-over votes and massive excitement for both Pubbies and Indies that have long felt they didn't have a voice due to one-party rule and heavy turnout should play to Brown's enormous advantage.

Gardner, Fitchburg and Peabody. And there are are other outliers Weymouth, Braintree and Quincy. They should all give good indications of how well Brown is doing relative to the rest of the state.

'We gave a LOT of money to a LOT of rich bankers'. Yup. That's pretty much all they ever did with the 60-vote super majority. All by themselves and without one Republican vote.
Yes, in 0bama's year one, the main "accomplishment" was the so-called "Stimulus" package (aka Porkulus.) But "Stimulus" hasn't worked. Since Jan. 2009, unemployment has gone from 7.6% to 10%, and annual inflation has gone from 0.03% to 2.72%. And those are the official (underreporting) gubmint numbers.

the overhaul could pass the U.S. Congress within 15 days.
I wonder about that. It was a near thing on the house bill. I wonder how many will break ranks if there's a MA shakeup?

Just got a text from a friend on The Cape in Orleans.
Vehicles lined up for blocks trying to get into polling place.
Never seen anything like this before , turn out amazing.
Seemed bigger than Nov 08.

Can you list the bellwether towns as asked? Gardner, Fitchburg and Peabody.

It is different this time...large turnout is for BROWN...
That is what I have been hoping. But i won't know for sure until the polls close this evening. Then we will find out if there is a new paradigm in voting or if we just are projecting what we desperately want to see on this race.

are they given to people still in line as “oh, you don’t have to wait to vote for Scott; here, fill one of these out” and their vote is nullified.

Jack and Bobby werent sure they wanted Teddy to run but he did it anyway, and won in Nov 62.Having Teddy run in '62 was their father, Joseph P. Kennedy's idea. Jack and Bobby thought it was pushing it for a 30 year-old to run for the senate who had never held any previous elective office, but their father insisted, saying now it was Teddy's turn.

Rasmussen is afraid he’s going to lose all his Dem clients if he says it’s a done deal for Brown.

Reporting from the Park Plaza [Robert Costa]
Team Brown is stringing up lights and hoisting red, white, and blue balloons neatly packed in nets, hoping they’ll be able to cut them loose by midnight. Later today, win or lose, this is where Scott Brown will address his supporters. For now, Brown is what one aide calls “free range,” meaning he’s out in his truck, driving around and meeting voters, without any official schedule. His only public appearance the rest of the day will be here at the Park Plaza.
