3 dozen lawmakers want proof of Obama eligibility
WorldNetDaily ^ | January 18, 2010 | Bob Unruh

Lawmakers in Arizona have proposed a law that would require state officials to begin independently verifying the accuracy of newly required documents affirming the constitutional eligibility of any candidate for the U.S. presidency.

"Certainly, there has been controversy over President Obama and his birth certificate, where he was born, etc.," state Sen. Sylvia Allen, R-Snowflake, told the Arizona Capitol Times. "It just makes sense and will stop any controversy in the future to just show you are a natural born citizen."

She is one of about three dozen lawmakers to sign on as co-sponsors.

The plan would accomplish essentially the same thing as that proposed by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., on the federal level.

The provisions of Posey's H.R. 1503 are straightforward: "To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

ping.

The level of proof required to be president should be at least as stringent as that required to play little league.

I haven’t figured out how any of the thugs in this Administration actually got a top security clearance. Any guesses?

Clinton couldn't have gotten a security clearance if he wasn't President. He'd engaged in anti-American protests on foreign soil.

BTW, you know there's no such thing as an ExTexan, just prodigals. If you're a Texan, it's part of your heart forever.

Sadly this does not remove oba-Husein from the White House as ineligible. It takes care of the future perhaps BUT if Schumer from NY’s bill passes and they currently have enough votes to pass anything they want, the Federal government will use national databases to set up a national voter registration rather like Californian Motor voter at the DMV.

Instead of citizens registering to vote the federal government will do it for you.

Alan will be posting this information if you have not already seen it (on AntiMullah.com) later tonight

If you change States and move you are still on the list and “you can be fraudulently voted” - plus the database can be filled with illegals as there will be no verificationa s to citizenship required to be on the list (officially perhaps but in practise you will be found on various databases and these can be corrupted to include and add anything they want)!

Unless we can clean Congress and Senate in 2010 to prevent bills like that being rammed through we are doomed to decades, yes decades of Obama rule by decree and his czars)

I think the law needs to be tightened up. Under the current FRE, the HI short-form COLB, if a genuine one were released by Obama, is “self-authenticating” proof of birth in HI.

The proposed law requires no disclosure of hospital, doctor, other birth address if not hospital, witnesses if any, and no disclosure of amendments to the original filing. For example an original BC filing might have had as hospital address “Unknown — Kenya, Africa” before amendment just like the Blaine document does.

The law needs to demand a blanket release by the candidate of all birth related vital records in possession of state authorities including amendments, and for all jurisdictions foreign and domestic for which a release is requested by election authorities. Say for Kenya as well as HI, for example. Full transparency and disclosure!

I fear that if this law passes, all we will get is the HI short-form COLB.

This bastard Obama can’t be a natural born citizen and that is an impeachable offense, especially if he knows it - which he must.

Further, that must be some kind of federal crime - like massive voter fraud.

Maybe he will wind up in Leavenworth once the Bolsheviks are flushed out of Congress.

Good idea. I think any candidate for the office of POTUS should provide proof of citizenship.

"If you are a real Texan born and bred..."

Heck, ya don't have to be born and raised here (Texas) to be a real Texan. Being Texan is a unique state of mind.

(It does help if you've lived here for awhile, though, LOL.)

Does "in the future" include a sitting president who might run again?
