Energized Brown Mocks Desperate Dems
Hillary Chabot January 17, 2010
GOP upstart state Sen. Scott Brown took aim at Democratic opponent Attorney General Martha Coakleys presidential bailout this afternoon, telling a packed hall of rowdy supporters he would stay connected to them and not embrace Washington, D.C. insiders.
They put in a distress call to Washington, and the next thing you know, Air Force One is landing at Logan, Brown said of President Obamas Boston visit today. The party bosses gave the president some bad information. This Senate seat belongs to no one person and no one political party, it belongs to the people of Massachusetts.
Brown, bolstered by a last-minute campaign surge in the polls, reminded the crowd of over 2,000 people that he is their candidate. Im Scott Brown, Im from Wrentham, I drive a truck and Im asking for your vote, he said. Then he referenced Obamas come-from-behind presidential campaign. After all, who ever heard of a guy from Wrentham getting elected to the U.S. Senate? But as the president might remember, upsets like that have been known to happen.
Brown was serenaded by his daughter, former American Idol semi-finalist Ayla Brown, backslapped by Red Sox [team stats] ace pitcher Curt Schilling [stats], and pumped up by former Cheers know-it-all John Ratzenberger during the electric rally.
This to me feels like the clubhouse on the morning of Game Seven, said Schilling. We know were going to win, but we have to play the game anyway . . . Rarely do we feel like we get a chance to make a difference. This is one of those times and we cannot miss this opportunity.
Supporters inside the rally came from across the state and even the country. Evan Hecht, 62, took a late-night plane from Walla Walla, Wash.,...

I don’t think Obama packed the room.
It was half empty. I am thinking this could be a blowout. A real Obamasaster.
Obama gave his patented Kiss of Death and flew off.
C-SPAN repeated a show with two political strategists (Kevin Madden for the Republican side and a woman from NY for the Democratic side). The Democrat was trying to put a brave face on the situation, talking about how many campaign workers they had calling people, etc. I don’t think she had convinced herself that Coakley could still win.

No, but he was already packed when he left the room! ;-)
Go Mass. let’s hear the second shot.
Doog, are you in Mass? Or did you see that Hussein only had a half-filled hall on the news?? I’d LOVE to see that in the media so I could send the link to some of my liberal friends!! :)
...nope not in Mass, early reports stated he was attending a rally at a hall that held 2000 people...then as day progressed reports said “light” “sparse” “1000”....
Check with early “news” stories at Google previous to his arrival for capacity......then later estimates of actual attendence...*grins*, ..numbers always go down.
Albatross. That's the new Secret Service codename for O, starting Tuesday night...

I tactfully asked him WHY he was going to vote for Brown and his answer was: Because of the healthcare bill Obama is trying to pass. I carefully agreed with him and reinforced the fact that Obama wants to gut Medicare/Medicaid by taking away 500 BILLION DOLLARS from the system and that if he adds 40 million people to the rolls, especially illegal aliens the health care system would collapse I told him that Brown is an honorable man and that he is totally opposed to the healthcare bill and would vote against it MY DAD AGREED! I was flabbergasted!
If my own father; a life-long Massachusetts FDR Democrat who has voted for EVERY Kennedy, Kerry/democrat to ever come down the pike, is going to vote for Scott Brown, a REPUBLICAN, BECAUSE OF HIS OPPOSITION TO Obama and his evil healthcare debacle then things are looking VERY promising for Scott Brown and we could all be in for an incredible victory on Tuesday. To this end I am fervently praying.
