January 17, 2010 World Misled Over Himalayan Glacier Meltdown
A WARNING that climate change will melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 is likely to be retracted after a series of scientific blunders by the United Nations body that issued it.
Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035.
In the past few days the scientists behind the warning have admitted that it was based on a news story in the New Scientist, a popular science journal, published eight years before the IPCC's 2007 report.
It has also emerged that the New Scientist report was itself based on a short telephone interview with Syed Hasnain, a little-known Indian scientist then based at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.
Hasnain has since admitted that the claim was "speculation" and was not supported by any formal research. If confirmed it would be one of the most serious failures yet seen in climate research. The IPCC was set up precisely to ensure that world leaders had the best possible scientific advice on climate change.
Professor Murari Lal, who oversaw the chapter on glaciers in the IPCC report, said he would recommend that the claim about glaciers be dropped: "If Hasnain says officially that he never asserted this, or that it is a wrong presumption, than I will recommend that the assertion about Himalayan glaciers be removed from future IPCC

I wonder if they can appreciate the Irony?
The best thing to do with “liberal science” is doubt it. You won’t be disappointed. Liberal science experiments with lies.

How much money has the UN sucked up to issue such a professional report?
Wikipedia will undoubtedly have a mud fight over this update. Should be a hoot.
Some people are still talking about “global warming” and “climate change”?
That’s cute. How retro!
Ultimately, fake Anthropogenic Global Warming science will be responsible for more deaths than the fake science that resulted in DDT being banned. People think that the “environmentalist movement” are a bunch of harmless do-gooders. But the results of their fraudulant “science” are the the deaths of millions in vulnerable populations.
A very bitter former Senator and Vice President Al Gore seen here en-route back to prison after a federal appeals court refused to review his 20 year sentence for his lead role as spokesperson in the Climategate fraud conspiracy.
The same court recently rejected the appeals of the lengthy sentences of the 137 alleged UN scientists Gores co-conspirators for falsifying data supporting so-called Cap and Trade legislation that trial testimony disclosed would have virtually destroyed what remained of the U.S. economy while unjustly enriching Gore and a cabal of insiders.
So apparently one of the key "facts" about global warming wasn't checked by the UN "overseer" of the chapter on that particular subject. What else was based on unchecked "facts" and not supported by scientific evidence ? ( By the way wouldn't that have been his job to check the evidence ?)
Every day new evidence emerges that this truly has been the greatest scientific fraud of the last hundred years and we the taxpayers of the West have been defrauded of billions of dollars already and they were fixing to increase that by several orders of magnitude.
