And example of the hyper bias of the Media/Political complex. A nut job far Leftist fringe wack job like Katrina is considered a serious commentator and invited on as a fellow “journalist” by one of their so called “News” organization.
She said basically that he ran one way and then turned around and did everything the other way and it’s not very presidential to go on and on blaming your predecessor and other good stuff.
Oh, Bull. Coakley was elected, no?
As terrible as the tragedy is in Haiti, it is really insignificant as far as the US is concerned, except that it will result in the legalization of status for tens of thousands of illegal Haitian immigrants and a flood of new ones from Haiti so they can claim a similar status. FL and NY will see a major influx of Haitians, i.e., more future Dem voters.
The memo has definitely gone out to use the word “teabagger.”
But this too shall backfire.
Most Tea Party participants had no idea of the meaning of that word. It does not have any power to “hurt” or “offend” people who choose not to feel offended.
But using it does illustrate what the “reporters” are willing to do to bash conservatives.
One day in Kingston, a (demented) Jamaican was yelling at me, using every nasty word he could remember, and I just laughed at him. The words were not meaningful to me as an American. (I was also sitting in a locked LandRover) so I didn’t fear for my life!)
We had a similar thing up here in Maine, SEIU thugs flakking for Dirigo. They didn't understand it, and didn't want it themselves, but they supported it.
I guess we shall see...
Oh my goodness, Woodward says Ozero is simply not a European socialist and it’s absurd to call him that.
Correct, he’s a Communist.
Oh, and Gregory says there was no reason to have the military take charge of the Panty Bomber because we got lots and lots of information out of him...with no evidence that that is true, just administrative operatives saying it.
Zero has already pledged to give 200,000 Haitians amnesty but who knows what the true number will be. No disaster is ever wasted.
My biggest question is now that our attention is otherwise focused on Haiti what is going on in the back ground that we don't see?
Pure wishful thinking by the Media O-bots.
Reagan had a political/economic program in place that was all ready improving the economy. All he had to do was run out the clock knowing his program would, in time, fix what was hurting the economy.
0 has done the exact opposite.
He has squandered his window of opportunity to fix the economy to pursue an extremist political agenda and set up an economic program that will not help, but hurt the economy long term. The clock is ticking an all O has done is set the economy of a course that will go from bad to worse.
Time was Reagan's ally while it is O foe. His domestic political situation is only going to get worse
It is true that for it’s supposed ‘progressivism’ women in general have faired very poorly in MA elections. Coakley may be the highest that a woman has reached on her own. (As opposed to Healey or Swift.)
Of course, MA has tended to have mushy-poor or tin-ear female candidates on both sides. On the other hand, the state went strongly for Hillary in ‘08, so I tend to think the fault has been with the candidates more than with sexist voters.
The most impressive woman in MA politics over the years has been Barbara Anderson, and she fits perfectly the mold that Palin talks about in being to effect change without a political title. She’s the real community activist whose Citizens for Limited Taxation got Prop 2 1/2 through.
*its*
Howie coming on at the top of the hour....I expect it to be full Palin-bash of her debut on FNC.
I love Brit Hume; it’s so good to see him on the Sunday show in the head seat.
Yes, and even some Beltway insiders are waking up to the fact that what he is doing is intentional and they are saying it. It's not just Rush and us any longer.
FOX - Discussing organized labor not having to pay extra taxes for “Cadillac” plans.
Juan - discussing how much time obama has spent on getting these deals.
Krauthammer - It is bribery, also a matter of equity (or inequity). Deals are being made so corruptly and so openly in Congress - totally different than what obama ran on.
Nina Easton - Major social legislation where there is NO bipartisan support. It is dividing the country.
Kristol - Congress cannot ignore public will for something so big. Thinks it will fail.
Juan - It’s a matter of leadership, ignore the “dogs barking”. (lolol, Juan, those barking dogs will hopefully elect a Republican in MA!)
