On the subject of “rethinking”, I really believe many people in this country are “rethinking” their assessment of Sarah Palin. While I believe she still has a long way to go in securing a political nomination, I do think her fortitude, dignity and tenacity in the face of the vicious smearing she’s taken from, frankly, all quarters, has gained her a lot of respect from people who probably, initially, joined in the smearing. As the saying goes, the truth always will out eventually, and Palin’s refusal to kowtow to her detractors like a conservative is “supposed” to do, along with the sheer magnitude of corruption and facism coming from the Democrats, has undoubtedly made many take a second look with a less jaundiced eye.

To continue your statement...

After that, it’ll be already living children who have Downs, or cerebral palsy, or spina bifida, or muscular dystrophy, or low-function autism (like one of my daughters).

Once they start killing, they won’t want to stop, and they’ll be dancing a jig with every death. Evil works that way.

Yep, lots of folks are saying that their opinion of Sarah is only reinforced by looking at the character of the people who hate her.

I said pro-”choice” language, which it is. You might note the connection between the words “choose” and “choice.”

Presumably, Clintons’ and Obamas’ pregnancies met the usual “wanted” criteria.

So, apparently did the Palins'. Whoopedy-do. Since when is "Look at us, we didn't kill our kids! Aren't we great?" an admirable message? Have we fallen that far?

So why does the author have to say, However you feel about her politics

Her politics are part of her...God Bless her for them. By adding the statement the author attempts to sully her politics, instead of realizing she's the last great hope for this once great Nation.

You're the one who needs to understand "connection" better. The word choose isn't a "pro-choice" word at all. The pro-aborts confused language by calling it "pro-choice" and you of all people should know that.

Would you rather they said We're glad we chose to abort our babies?

You're being picky and silly.

Since when is “choosing” not to kill your child something to brag about?

Like pro-choice in education? “Choosing” life is phrased deliberately and devastatingly to define the “choice” preferred by the opposition.

Keep ‘em raving, Sarah.

Exactly a year ago, there was the ongoing, calculated and vicious attempt to ‘destroy’ Sarah Palin’s reputation and political viability through tabloidization of her and her family. A year later, and SHE is the one taking the reigns and using a tabloid to promote not herself, but the importance of choosing life. I admire this woman so very, very much.

I see your point , but the ALL IMPORTANT DISTINCTION here with Mother and Daughter Palin, is that one child has Down Syndrome, and the other was born out-of-wedlock. Either of them would’ve and could’ve been aborted, given the Pro Choice mindset and its public policy enshrined in Law, and enabling the abortion procedure so that it’s available to everyone.
Available over and over, in fact. This magazine cover is a direct and intentional challenge and provocation to the most relentless ANTI-pro-life President we’ve ever had, and I for one am glad about it.(Don’t forget, Sarah Palin has always been “the Anti-Obama”) Bristol’s child in fact is EXACTLY what Obama had in mind when he talked about “punishing” a young woman with a baby; he just didn’t count on REAL facts like the ones that prove time and again that many young women CHOOSE to have the baby , even when the biological father disappears, or proves to be a coward and a creep when he ‘makes the choice’ that he doesn’t want to be married or be in the baby’s life.
And to answer either your post or someone else’s, as far as the shallow supermarket magazine InTOuch-—I don’t know the actual content of this article, but them being on the cover could just as easily signal what we already knew: the nation is slowly swinging into a pro-life majority, into a different and more personally felt way of looking at this ‘issue’, regardless of “settled law”.

The beautiful smile of the young child, Trig, beaming from that cover, will speak volumes to hearts which have been unconvinced by reason and rhetoric.

Without saying a word, he provides a living rebuttal to powerful messengers on the Left whose policies advocate against his "being."

Palin is the vehicle by which this powerful message has arrived. Hymn composer, Cowper, once wrote, "God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform." Then, there are these wisdom words:

"'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the LORD." - Isaiah 55:8 (New International Version)

Well, I guess for today’s Republicans that’s all you need to do to prove you’re “pro-life.” Just brag that you didn’t kill your baby. Personally, I find the whole thing revolting.

“There are so many people who are celebrated for going into rehab, apologizing, etc., ad nauseum, it’s refreshing to see someone who says, “yeah, I messed up, but I didn’t compound it with murder.”

The ultimate in defining deviancy downward?
