Barack Obama to write Newsweek cover story on Haiti

Posted on 01/14/2010 9:10:04 PM PST by mimi from mi

I don't believe I can post a link to Huffington Post, but click on their site and read the remarks to this latest revelation and see the magazine cover.

President Barack Obama will write the cover story for next week's Newsweek magazine.

The Wall Street Journal's Russell Adams reports that Newsweek editor Jon Meacham asked Obama's senior advisor if the President would write for the magazine, and he agreed.

The magazine will hit newsstands on Monday.

When Newsweek unveiled its redesign in May 2009, the magazine also turned to Obama; Meacham interviewed Obama for that issue.

B.H.O. is not “writing” anything... the ghost of J.F.K. is going to “write” it... oh wait.

He’ll need another vacation to go and write it. And his memoirs. Again.

I hope he has better editors than in the case of the last news article he wrote, “Breaking the War Mentality.” That was a turgid and insipid piece indeed.

Might as well since you don’t have any thing better to do....wait a minute, shouldn’t you be doing that President thing that you were hired to do?

“When I look at Haiti, I am reminded of my early days on another island in another ocean. Both set adrift on their own, but parallel paths. As a young boy, I learned how to adapt to the world of the whites. I will use that knowledge to help the Haitians, and I have set forth a five-step plan.....”

More at the article I found. ;)

I see he went from dictating to actually writing the story.

Actually, it's part of a new weekly series of "occupation for a day" activities by the President.

This week, he'll be writing the cover story for Newsweek.

Next week, he'll be playing quarterback for the New York Jets for one game.

The following week, he'll be hosting "The Tonight Show" for one evening.

I understand that further events in the works include working a shift as a doctor in the emergency room of a hospital, driving an 18-wheeler on a cross-country trip, and operating a giant construction crane at a building site.

LOL! Makes sense though. Sort of a promotional thing to highlight various jobs that people that are currently unemployed could do.

Yup & we can pay for another trip to who knows where. Camp David isn't good enough for 0. I was thinking about his vacations. We have 50 states with governor’s mansions & summerhouses. Why can't a president use any of those 50+ houses? I hear we need to cut back etc yet I don't see the 0 family doing it. I would hope we don't pay for his vacations. Nor should we be paying for his personal parties or golfing. If we all have to budget then he should also & lead by example IMHO. Like that will ever happen... Just like Pelosi, if she wants to go home each weekend then she ought to pay for her own broom home. Cutbacks & budgets ought to start with these morons.

I like tar & feathers myself & riding them out on a rail. If these DC douches want vacations & live high on the hog then it ought to come from their own pockets.

He’s a real snoozer to listen to, a lot like Saddam extolling his virtues.

0bama is too wonderful to be just President...

The presidency isn't demanding enough?

Maybe we should take away his helicopter and airplanes and insist that he spend at least 8 hours a day at the office, before he starts moonlighting.

He can go walk on water on his own time.
