Many of us are not eligible to join Oathkeepers, which is for active and retired military and police.
It's a good suggestion for those who are, but probably ignores 2/3 of the people on Free Republic and 7/8 of the total citizenry.

ALL non-LEO and non-military citizens are eligible to join as Citizen Associate members. I am such a member and we have a great local group led by an LEO from a neighboring community. In fact, we had a meeting last night. I can tell you that the LEO and Military folks in our group appreciate the citizen members and we are included in all functions, communications, and planning.

A. Yes. Although the Oath Keepers organization is geared towards active duty, retired, and veterans of the military, law enforcement, and firefighters; we still welcome those concerned Citizens as Citizen Associate Members. We encourage all who have not yet taken an Oath to do so at one of our Oath Ceremonies that take place all over the country.
I urge you to join both National Oath Keepers and your State Oath Keeper Group, and then recruit as many members as possible. Most sate groups are still in the early stages of forming. Oath Keepers was established at Lexington Green, MA on April 19, 2009.
