Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year deal with FOX News to serve as a contributor across all FOX News platforms, announced Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming.

In making the announcement, Shine said, "Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup." As a contributor, Palin will provide political commentary and analysis for FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOXNews.com, and FOX News-produced special event political programming for FOX Broadcasting.

In addition, she will host periodic episodes of FNC's "Real American Stories," a series exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape that will debut in 2010.

Palin added, "I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Sarah and John Stossell together

Not likely Stossell is as loonie as Ron Paul on Social issues.

Definitely avoid the creep O’Reilly. He’d be trying to grab her in the Green Room.

Greta has been doing an exceptional job as a Capitol reporter, interviewing many Senators, esp. on the healthcare bill. I just wish she’d talk a little slower, so us old folks can catch every word.

A follow up on Sarah and FOX.

As a compliment, maybe we should call her Foxy Sarah!

I think that “Ms.” bit is part of the Times’s regular style manual.

------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure it is, and it ticks me off. It's politically correct leftist crap. In leftspeak, a woman is not "defined" by whether or not she is married, so the title cannot refer to her marital status.

Kind of like how they use BCE instead of BC: liberals trying to expunge Christ from history.

Thanks for the Ping SW.

In the current climate of 24 hour news cycles - dominated by the liberal cabal - this is the perfect strategy, tactic and venue.

Sarah has been offered the experience and exposure for her future national leadership and she will do well.

Her most refreshing attribute - she has no secrets to hide and that is why, at times, she seemed unprepared. If you have integrity - you don’t need to prep and a teleprompter.

How incredibly tacky.

Who are you, and why am I on your ping list?

Yeah? I’m actually not bothered by it. Seems like a safe, neutral title if marital status is not known or relevant, though of course if known and preferred, Miss or Mrs. would be in order. (I know the Times will use ‘Dr.’ for PhD recipients if requested, so I imagine they would use either Mrs. or Gov. if she so requested.)

I don't think it's at all a mistake. Good pay and she can reach out to millions whenever she is on. Fox are no dummies . They saw what this Wonder Woman can do with Twitter and a book tour . No one gets a steady slot with out the BOR nod . I am hoping she has been out of public office long enough to wash the stink off . As we have seen , any idiot can become Prez . Very few can influence public opinion.

Now can we send Shepard Smith and WHOREaldo Rivera to CNN

Jerry can leave but I'd sorely miss Shepard's hat during hurricane season.

I think she’s the next Reagan, but, she CANNOT listen to her people. If she does, she’s a loser. Fire them all and she need to continue to go rogue. She needs to have her people listen to her. If not, fire those who think otherwise. She’s in charge now, not McCain’s people, and the GOP machine. I think she’s learned a huge lesson. And do you McCain isn’t responding to her popularity is by design? McCain is losing big time in his district, Palin is surging. McCain never connected the dots, Palin 40k people at an event, McCain 2k at an event.

Just today, I got a call from the RNC telling me the message from Steele is dire..... The next election, democdrats, etc, yada, yada, yada. I interrupted her message, and told her, we’re giving to conservative candidates, and if they continue to support Scosofavva and Kirk, count me out. We want conservatives. I was polite. So sorry, so sad. We’re not taking it anymore.

I think she’s the next Reagan...

I don't know about that. Three years ago, some folks were saying the same thing about Fred Thompson.

However, I'm very happy for her that she's gotten a high paying regular job. This, along with her personal appearances, should give her satisfaction, happiness, and yes - wealth. And what's wrong with that?

She doesn't have to be president to be successful.

“As much as I am not a fan of O’ Reilly, he did do a wonderful interview with her, perhaps one of the best ones I have seen, perhaps she is returning the favor by appearing on his show again”

Agree.

Maybe Palin’s joining ‘the team’ will give Don the Decrepit Dope a tongue-in-cheek excuse to stop maligning her. That would be welcome!

He could take it to the opposite and start referring to her as the Political Genius of the Generation—and then maybe, just maybe get her on to give him a little ratings viagra.

I loved Fred, he lacked passion, and didn’t really have the heart to run, and he ran is short campaign like that. Sarah doesn’t, she’s in the game, whether she runs or not, she’s got the passion the other GOPer don’t. You just can’t deny she doesn’t care the direction our country is heading. She’s a player, we just don’t know what direction that is, and how her role plays in it. And she doen’t know where her career is headed. And frankly, I don’t think she knows yet either. And as a benefit, she’s been so vetted by the msm, no matter what she does, it’s going to be ho-hum, the vetting won’t matter.....

It’s going to be a really FUN year. Removing dems from office......

I think Sarah’s making a tactical mistake.

Yes... I have the same concern. Although to this point she's done everything "perfectly", so I'll defer judgment for now.

What I wouldn't give to see her heading up the RNC!

Hear! Hear!

I’m willing to wager he’s going to have to cool his talk, but I also think she’ll win him over. Imus is dead wrong about her. I think he knows she’s not a dope, but he has nasty friends like Begala who make their living trashing her and he doesn’t want to defend her. Well, welcome to Fox Business News, Don Imus. See what happens now...lol.
