Feinstein Backs Reid

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) defended Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Sunday, saying there was no need for him to step aside.

"First of all, all of us are imperfect," Feinstein said on CBS's "Face the Nation." "Clearly, this was a mistake. Clearly, the leader misspoke and he's also apologized. ... The president has accepted the apology and it would seem to me the matter should be closed."

Interestingly enough, Reid was being racist in a strange kind of way. If you see what the context was, he was saying that BHO being light-skinned and without “Negro accent” (unless he wanted to have one) was a good thing. In other words, being dark-skinned and having a “Negro accent” was bad.

Question for all Americans that have dark skin and a “Negro accent”: this is what the racist, condescending Democrats really think about you. When are you going to reject it? They need you to need them, because in their immature, puny minds you cannot do anything for yourself. Are you really happy with this? If you are, I feel pity for you.

BTW, if you don’t think there are major race wars coming as a result of the policies of this president and his minions, you are living in denial.

I'm thinking it will be more like religious wars. A battle we are already losing.

The ‘focus’ of the MSM and some of our politicians is on what Reid said a year ago (and it was absolutely true).

What the focus should be on is what a corrupt politician Reid is.

Mr Reid has spoken in a very racist way

What did he say that was racist? He was just acknowledging a fact. Reid should step down, but not for a year old comment which was no different than Joe Biden's remarks.

Nancy Pelosi said "he can apologize all he wants," said Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). "It doesn't remove the sentiment that escaped his mouth that day."

oh wait, she said that about Trent Lott. But Harry is different?! Hypocrites!

As I recall those are the same traits that a master would look for in his house slaves.

No...that's not racist at all. /s

Well, had Reid been able to sing.....

It’s just your jive talkin’
you’re telling me lies, yeah
Jive talkin’
you wear a disguise
Jive talkin’
so misunderstood, yeah
Jive talkin’
You really no good

Oh, my child
You’ll never know
Just what you mean to me
Oh, my child
You got so much
You’re gonna take away my energy

With all your jive talkin’
You’re telling me lies, yeah
Good lovin’
Still gets in my eyes
Nobody believes what you say
It’s just your jive talkin’
That gets in the way

Oh my love
You’re so good
Treating me so cruel
There you go
with your fancy lies
Leavin’ me lookin’
like a dumbstruck fool
with all your

Jive talkin’
You’re telling me lies, yeah
Jive talkin’
You wear a disguise
Jive talkin’
so misunderstood, yeah
Jive talkin’
you just ain’t no good

Love talkin’
is all very fine, yeah
Jive talkin’
Just isn’t a crime
And if there’s somebody
You’ll love till you die
then all that jive talkin’
just gets in your eye

Jive talkin’
You’re telling me lies, yeah
Good lovin’
Still gets in my eyes
Nobody believes what you say
It’s just your jive talkin’
That gets in the way

Love talkin’
Is all very fine, yeah
Jive talkin’, just isn’t a crime
and if there’s somebody
You’ll love till you die
then all that jive talkin’
just gets in your eye

Jive talkin’

Although I think the term “racism” is overused in general, I do believe both Reid and Feinstein think of themselves as superior to black people based on race.

Reid’s comments, if not explicitly racist, are based on a racist premise.

“He was just acknowledging a fact.”

Exactly, he was saying more white voters would find him acceptable because he was no Al Sharpton. Given the intensity of some of the comments here at FR, I would say there is plenty of white racism out here in the USA. Any gripes about Obama or Reid should be about their policies and philosophy not there color or accurate observations about public reactions to same. Anything else just makes conservatives look like reactionary biggots and racists, and turns off the independents that will be needed for political gains in the next elections.

The Sunday shows are advancing the meme that Reid mis-spoke when praising Obama, while Lott was endorsing a time of opposing civil rights.

That argument doesn't hold up when one considers how the Demcorats reacted to Chris Dodd saying this of former Klansman Robert Byrd:

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia that he would have been a great senator at any moment. "He would have been right at the founding of this country. He would have been in the leadership crafting this Constitution. He would have been right during the great conflict of Civil War in this nation."

I don’t know about race wars, recent crime statistics show that murder is down 25 to 35% in the mid-Atlantic region, and over 10% down in a number of major cities (with large black populations). Where the rate seems to be up slightly is in towns of 10 to 25,000 people (more white people?). Of course, if the towns decide to attack the cities, then we may have trouble.;-)

I believe Obama would like to see a race war. He has a Charlie Manson mind-set. We are not going to kill each other over the color of our skin.

“Any gripes about Obama or Reid should be about their policies and philosophy not there color or accurate observations about public reactions to same.”

Well said. And whenever anyone with white skin says anything bad about BHO’s capabilities, ideologies, or lack of judgment are branded as racist by the Democrats and racebaiters. But that is not working anymore, Al and Jesse. So you two might need to find a real job. Could not happen soon enough!

“I don’t get any of this.

First, Reid said this back during Obama’s CAMPAIGN. (over a year ago)

Second, how is it any different from Joe Biden’s reference to Obama as being THE FIRST ‘clean’, and ‘articulate’ Afican-American/Black/Negro in politics?

That’s like referring to Jimmy Carter as the first Redneck politician who wasn’t married to his sister.”

Hey, is that true about Carter?
