When Hannity had Brown on the other night, I was SO afraid Sean was going to screw up the entire race. Here are the questions he asked, along with Brown’s very smart answers:
1. How do you describe yourself? I always tell people I am a Reagan conservative. (Brown said he prefers to think of himself as a Scott Brown Republican.)
2. Are you a social conservative? (Brown ignored the question and kept talking about terrorism, taxes, spending.)
3. What grade would you give the president? (Brown said he had some criticisms and named some on terrorism, but said he would prefer not to grade people.)
Those were 3 terrible questions, and if Brown had fallen into the trap of answering them the way Hannity was leading him, he would have given Coakley sound bites for ads and probably have guaranteed a loss.
Hannity needs to realize that he’s not interviewing people in a small private conservative setting, but that his questions and the answers he draws out go out to the world at large.
Lets face it. There are conservative airheads as evidenced by Hannity.
With Hannity it’s always about him.
Blech.
Looks like Brown is one very smart, think on his feet, politician.
