Why you’re exactly right, they do indeed give the impression we should be “thankful” they are here...hummm... as if they and this fatwa would cease these intended attacks on us..thus indirectly crediting themselves with protecting this nation. Thank you for that keen observation, I did miss that.
I also agree of their target audience, so likely if they had mentioned american non-muslims it would not have the given impact, it would then appear a breach in their muslim commitment to Islam...and therefor likely positioning themselves for a meeting with the sword of Allah.
