Expect Dear Leader to bring him here to the US.

THEN they will have the DOJ or DOD arrest and imprison him.

THEN they will give him to the Iranians to “obtain good will”.

No concessions from the Iranians will be assured in return, and in fact they will not even allude to such a possibility. They will not interrogate him or ask him any questions, such as what he knows about Iran’s nuclear programs. They will blame it on the Bush administration that people like this ambassador could ever get the idea that leaving Iran would ever be a moral thing to do.

He will be stabbed in the back.

I wish I was being sarcastic instead of outlining what I believe to be a realistic scenario with this bunch.

Side info: the late-Shah’s former ambassador to Norway is an activist in that country and could well have influenced matters.

Also remember the take over of the Norwegian Embassy by anti-regime demonstrators a few months ago, who then hoisted up the real Lion & Sun national flag (not the one with Allah in the middle). Although the embassy staff have diplomatic immunity and carry sidearms, none of them dared draw a weapon.

The story at one time stated it was an event in Sweden but if memory serves me right, it was Norway.

Meanwhile a USA based Persian TV has also heard this and adds (without confirmation) that there is a possible second amabassador who has defected.
