It's being tweeted that the Iranian Amb to Norway has resigned and is seeking asylum in Oslo. So far I have not seen it in the MSM. It's beeing tweeted that it is been published in a Norwegian paper. Anyone read the language?
Things must be gettin real bad if Ambassadors are cutting and running, as one person posted.
Maybe the Iranian ambassador to Norway wants a peace prize too!

OSLO - .....Although Mr. Heydari does not appear to be a high-ranking member of the government, he would be one of the only Iranian officials to publicly resign over Iran's crackdown on opposition demonstrations following the country's disputed presidential elections in June.
"It was the Iranian authorities' treatment of demonstrators the week after Christmas that meant I could not in good conscience continue," Mr. Heydari was quoted as saying in a report on the Web site of the Norwegian television network NRK.
There was no video or audio of the interview available, and Mr. Heydari could not be reached for additional comment. His wife and two children were with him in Oslo, according to a Norwegian news report.
A spokesman for the Norwegian Ministry of Justice, which handles asylum requests, declined to comment.
A spokesman at the Iranian Embassy characterized Mr. Heydari's departure as a regular event.
"It's quite normal that at the end of a mission a diplomat will leave and somebody will replace him," said the spokesman, who declined to give his name.......
Interest detail and analogy to Serbia. The point you made about Iran greens not having allies in Basij or Revolutionary Guard does not take into account another important security force. The three part exposee on Khamenei points out that he is surrounded and protected by 200 personal guard, 500 palace guard, and 10,000 other guard. The 200 personal guard have all been given $1 million homes to buy loyalty. If I remember right, the article also explained other loyalty preserving methods. Time will tell if their support by Rafsanjani and others will be of any significance.

Thanks.

Thanks, but no.
I have read a lot of books on many different topics, including health, military, volcanos, dinosaurs, biology, escapist fiction of adventure and romance, psychology, among others. Perhaps you could tell me where your interests lie.
You may find the AntiMullah translation and introduction on who Makhmalbaf is, a better window/focus into matters and Alan’s highlighted comments more instructive/illuminating.

Makhmalbaf is NOT against the regime, just the current management team.
Thanks for the ping!
As I said initially, NEVERMIND.
The most spectacular thing I have seen in recent years has been the 3D version of Avitar. Don’t miss it in 3D.
