Beck's star really crashed quickly. I hadn't watched much during December because I thought after bringing something new almost every day he had nothing left to say. But I decided to tune in yesterday because I thought he might ridicule the great Obama Administration regarding the Christmas Bomber in his signature way. Instead he just rehashed old show and old quotes from several months ago.

Guys like Beck and Limbaugh may think that discussing the eligibility issue might cause Obama & Co. to go nuclear in some way that would threaten them, and so they avoid it to avoid a confrontation which might damage them. But anyone who thinks the eligibility issue isn't real isn't playing with a full deck.

Beck's star crashed a long time ago. He majorly jumped the shark (for me) when he had his embarrassingly whiny "hemorrhoid breakdown" on the air. His radio show format has deviated and morphed into something that barely resembles what it used to be. I used to turn in for his wit and carefree banter but that's been lost for ages.

I also find it somewhat hypocritical of Beck to be criticizing 'birthers' as conspiracists when he spends half his time spouting weird end-of-the-economy/world conspiracies himself.

The eligibility issue is most certainly real. Canada Free Press had that documentation a few months back that all the main networks told their anchors that if they mention the birth issue they are fired. (I know Lou Dobbs “resigned”, but it was just after he started talking about why doesn’t the Obummer just show the darn thing.) It’s just plain old CYA with all these media guys until someone, somewhere produces some hard facts then they’ll all jump on it like it is something new.

Just because he doesn’t agree with you (and many of us) doesn’t mean he isn’t doing a fine job of bringing other major issues to light.

Beck doesn’t have to be in on this. He’s got his hands full already.
