what the hell is he hiding?
That MUSLIM appears as his religion on the birth certificate? Or so I've heard. He's a Muslim at heart whether or not it's on his birth certificate.

That actually triggers a thought in my head that I hadn’t considered before, though I presume it’s been discussed somewhere. If that’s on his BC, then he’d be regarded as an apostate from day one (to anyone who gives credibility to his stated Christian faith), which would not only put him the crosshairs of the jihadists, but might also render him even more impotent (if such is possible) in any dealings with Muslim leaders. That’d in itself be a motivation for him to keep the document sealed.

You can cross that off your list of possibilities. This is the United States, religion isn't something that is listed on a birth certificate. Besides, every newborn refuses to answer the question when you ask him what his religion is. What are you going to do to get it to talk, waterboard him? (Or her as the case may be.)

That MUSLIM appears as his religion on the birth certificate? Or so I've heard. There is no religion listed on Hawaiian birth certificates of the period, or since. There is a birthplace of the parents and their race. No race for the child though.
