On the air today, popular radio host Glenn Beck mocked "birthers" and claimed there is a concerted campaign to get those questioning Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility onto the airwaves – a strategy Beck said would actually benefit Obama.
"There's always games being played behind the scenes at a talk radio show," Beck said. "Rush has always called them seminar callers. But instead of being coy with the seminar callers or with you, I'm just going to expose the game that is going on. Today there is a concerted effort on all radio stations to get birthers on the air."
"I have to tell you, are you working for the Barack Obama administration?" Beck scoffed. "I mean, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
The ongoing dialogue then spun off into ridicule as Beck caricatured those who question the sitting president's eligibility with straw-man arguments reminiscent of jibes made by Obama's apologists in other news outlets.
Beck defined birthers as people who believe Obama was born in Kenya or other foreign country, was raised as a Manchurian candidate and somehow brainwashed Hillary Clinton into not exposing his fraud. According to Beck's running joke, birthers believe someone – maybe Obama's KGB "control" – preemptively placed Obama's birth announcement in 1961 Hawaiian newspapers with a "roadmap" of getting an African man into office.
As for Obama producing a long-form birth certificate to actually prove his place of birth, Beck questioned, "Why do that when these people ['birthers'] are so discrediting themselves?"

The radio host further argued that by distracting the public from actionable issues, "birthers" have become "a dream come true" for Obama, an ideal situation akin to the fantasies of adolescent boys after Hollywood bombshells.

HE is an idiot. His handlers, however, are not. Who paid for the idiot’s Harvard degree? Odds are, they would also have the knowledge of this.
Beck has either not looked closely at the debate, or since there is no smoking gun in neon lights he doesn’t think it’s an issue. In either case, he has put off a good sizable number of his audience with his caustic viewpoint.
They’re out in full force today.
The vast majority of Free Republic was always where people like Beck and Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are -- they are normal people...
It's only the strident loud posting of the Obama Derangement Syndrome crowd that makes them look bigger than they are..., like the little barking dog that runs around the big dog, making a lot of noise... :-)
Not one person in real life has ever said to me birthers were lunatics. I hear he is not a citizen. The only place I read birthers are lunatics is online anonymously.

Well, with ten years of posting and about 27,000 posts, why would you think I would go away from Free Republic. I've been here all along... but you just haven't been reading my posts...
And it's been nice to not have to contend with the Obama Derangement Syndrome crowd, I must admit... but good things never last forever...
Yeah, I noticed when I saw three of the usual Dem After-Birthers commenting on three different topic threads within ten minutes of each other where they don't usually post... something was/is up.
Is this point too subtle for most citizens, or for Free Republic readers? Are respondents to this issue drawn from Obama supporters? This is all about insuring allegiance, an issue which should resonate with Free Republic readers.
I notice that when I state the facts, I very seldom get arguments. If every other Freeper feels enrollment records or birth certificates - long forms - which we will likely never see are the key to protecting our republic, why don't they contest my factual assertions?
The issue is the Constitution. Understand it or continue to lose its protections. Obama is not qualified by our constitution. He provided all the evidence we need. Dual citizenship is not sole allegiance at birth - In the country of parents who are its citizens. I have seen no cogent argument to contest this. The rest say "but what if his father was..., or "His Grandmother from Kenya..." or "The Hawaiian DOH director said he was a natural born citizen...". Those are all interesting questions, but you don't need them answered. He told us he was born a subject of the British Commonwealth. He is not a natural born U.S. citizen. Obama even tells us he is "A Native born U.S. citizen". A native born U.S. citizen is not a natural born U.S. citizen. Obama is being legally careful, but is still illegitimate.
And you’re with the protect the Obama non-natural-born at all cost crowd. A good name for that is ‘Kiss Obama’s Rear-End Syndrome’.

I learned a long time ago. Do NOT become a worshiper of shooting star celebs.
Zero is one, Beck is turning out to be one.
He will not jeopardise his cushy gig now.
My Mom use to listen to him. She would get mad at him every so often and stop listening for a while.

I believe it is commonly a liberal tactic to denounce all who disagree as traitors, or cowards, or liars, or butt-kissers.

No...just pointing out not the usual behavior.
Don't ask. They'll just post another link to that oft-cited African Press story about "Kenyan born Barrack (sic) Obama" (while ignoring the many other African Press articles that list Obama as Hawaiian born, --and spell his first name correctly).
I'd like to see that put that to a vote on FR on who fits this description, me or you.
