Huh? Did he agitate somebody?
**for refusing to say how much money I make.**
I was right.. last week, I claimed there is probably no reason for me to FLY in current circumstances... IF I CAN”T DRIVE or go by BOAT... I”M NOT GOING.. period.
Simply unbelievable...I wonder when they will just start shooting people for refusing to answer their questions.
Anybody doubt we have Marxist’s running this country?
TSA had to show everyone.. WHO’s da BOSS!!! ??
The system worked! /s
I would have said, “I don’t make money. I earn it.”...............
unclear from what I have read exactly what entity/agency was asking the question - TSA, DHS via customs/immigr., or who?
Not sure if DHS has any authority to ask this. If TSA did it (which I suspect, mainly because customs/immigr. are generally vastly more professional), I am not surprised.
American citizen handcuffed at Seattle airport for refusing to disclose his annual income to a security agent.
NOW I see why they hassled him....................
You guys might want to do a little more homework before you jump to his defense, even though he is ex-mil...
“In June 2009, he remarked: ‘I get the feeling that Obama is tougher and proving wiser than many people seem to think’”
I wonder what he thinks of this administration after this little incident...
your papers...and you tax return
his income is none of their business
I believe the proper answer is “Way more than you, A-hole.”
A bunch of Freepers say that TSA needs to emulate the terrorism prevention procedures of Israel’s El Al airline.
If so, this sort of incident will become commonplace. El Al conducts a thorough interrogation about how one’s life story led to his deciding to board the El Al flight that day. Most of the questions have nothing to do with flight safety. Rather, El Al’s tag-team of interrogators spends 20 to 30 minutes alternately asking personal questions trying to trip up the prospective passenger. If one wants to board the El Al flight, one answers the questions no matter how intrusive.
El Al has good reasons for their security procedures, and thier staff is professionally competent. It’s unlikely that TSA could possibly measure up ... heck, even the CIA can’t even stop a terrorist when his own father pleads with its agents to deter his son. What hope does the TSA have?
Environmentalists should support El Al-type security screening anyway. Passengers must check in three hours before departure time. This would substantially reduce the capacity of airports to handle passenger traffic and make air travel even more cumbersome than it is today.
Yon probably has annoyed a lot of libs by his honest and sympathetic reporting on our troops in dangerous places. He didn’t get the message that the press is supposed to undermine the troops.
But I doubt if his name is on a watch list. I would guess that this is just an normal case of bureaucratic bullies, who know that they have the full weight of the government behind everything they do.
By the way, be sure to follow that link at the end to what the CIA has been doing under obama—watching the ice melt instead of watching for terrorists.

INCREDIBLE.
The Gestapo run amuck.
If this is true (and I don't doubt the source), then there were a series of small mistakes made by both sides. The alphabet agencies and Mr. Yon. Hopefully, all sides stand down.
If the previous paragraph isn't true regarding the various agencies, then we have a problem.
In history, small insignificant things, a seemingly innocuous string of events, cause a tipping point. Unfortunately, history also shows us that the unintended consequences can be catastrophic.
