Jeff, thanks for taking the time, and effort, in your condition to think of those who think often of you, and would if it were possible, even bear some of what you are called upon to endure. If you will pardon the analogy, this reminds me of the arrogance of those et up with global warming or any other hysteria wherein they think they can control what only the creator can and does control for our benefit and welfare.

You on the other hand have stood as a living witness throughout your life, through good and bad times, of the reality, of the living God and his Son Jesus Christ. They control the universe and our very existence The life threatening disease you are experiencing certainly places our existence and puny power in stark contrast to the power, intelligence, majesty and mercy of him whom we worship.

It is that very powerful and merciful God to whom we pray and plead for your recovery, protection, power to endure, and general well being during the various procedures your doctors may recommend. God bless and keep you my freerepublic brother, and the same for Gail who must also be enduring what you are, and feel so helpless in the process, and yet remain the stoic and tower of strength. Bless you both for sharing this time with your friends.

Jeff, since you are a holy man, you might like to read about this:

Frankincense Oil

The Frankincense Oil helps with mindset, and is a beautiful scent to behold. I use Frankincense daily, and although I do not have cancer, I've gone from an almost virtual slug, to swimming 1/4 mile 4-5 times a week. (I take a few supplements from Mercola that I know are helping too, and use a couple other oils from YoungLiving also and *try* to eat in a more healthy fashion.) Also I would highly recommend acupuncture, as it helps bring down the stress level of any illness; my suggestion is a doctor that has been brought up with eastern medicine. My acupuncturist is also a licensed chiropractor and herbalist. You can usually receive a good recommendation through a health-food store, although talking to others you trust would probably be more fruitful; I found mine through the Internet, and she's worth her weight in gold. Keep your chin up as they say; my prayers are with you (and your family) daily. (And remember to read about FRankincense.) [2nd "R" capped on purpose:)]

Jeff, I’m keeping up with this thread and praying for you. I know it’s a long, terrible, twisting road you are on, and my prayer is that there will be a rainbow at it’s end.
