Spy chiefs turn on President Obama after seven CIA agents are slaughtered in Afghanistan By David Gardner

excerpt: Barack Obama was accused of double standards yesterday in his treatment of the CIA.

The President paid tribute to secret agents after seven of them were killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. In a statement, he said the CIA had been ‘tested as never before’ and that agents had ‘served on the front lines in directly confronting the dangers of the 21st century’.

He lauded the victims as ‘part of a long line of patriots who have made great sacrifices for their fellow citizens and for our way of life’.

Yet the previous day he had blasted ‘systemic failures’ in the CIA and other US intelligence agencies for failing to prevent the Christmas Day syringe bomb attack.

‘One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes. The fact is that we are doing everything humanly possible to stay on top of the security situation. The deaths of our operatives shows just how involved we are on the ground.'

There was a post here yesterday about how much Obama himself had done to hurt the CIA by announcing not only that they were at that particular place in force, but even telling the world what their mission was! No president has EVER given up that kind of info about our intel capabilities.

Several opined he did not do it by mistake at all, that his handlers know full well the damage that's done when you release info like that.

I couldn't find post on a cursory glance, but it's well worth looking up and perusing. Those familiar with the world of spies and things say he gave AQ an excellent recruiting tool as well as huge bragging rights in the world that wishes us ill.

Whether incompetence or treason, the outcome is the same. We are once again placed at greater risk by a man who never should have been in the position to hurt us.

And I'm inclined to believe that one of the dead CIA members in Afghanistan was a mole...but didn't know he/she was going to get blown up.

At the top, they didn’t expect the embarrasing incidents to expose the foolishness of liberal security practices.

I think Napolitano is Napoligono, and I think Panetta may be explaining to Obama to get his sh!t together, or he will resign.

Or maybe Obama will fire him.

I think Panetta is smarter on national security/intelligence than Obama.

Oddly almost anyone with any brains in Africa and parts of Europe know who he is, who controls him, where he was born and that his IS a muslim.

Maybe the CIA or somebody will unmask the Saudi/MB/Islamic agent - if not they are aiding and abetting him.....

My guess about blackwater is they are exactly as promised: contractors. They do the bidding of the defense department and perhaps the CIA as needed so each organization can have deniablity.

The CIA has been on a downside trajectory since the Church Committee castrated them in the 70’s. Most of those wide eyed nuts who supported that as drones then are now at the upper echelons of power now so don't expect much from the CIA IMO. A good insight into how bad things had become would be to take a gander at the movie Charlie Wilson's war especially the part dealing with Wilson's visit to Pakistan and inquiring from the CIA station chief. Yeah in the mid 80s there were still some good people there under the radar but they are now long retired or purged so The Agency has become a bureaucratic morass relying on “technical surveillance” rather than agents and informants. Someone above hit it right on the head, in any handbook 101 dealing with informants, NEVER TRUST THEM...7 dead.

This, like many are setups by the Whitehouse to have zero step in, announce there are systemic problems that need to be addressed so he can manipulate, break down and suggest a new and impoved organization may be needed for todays problems. He’s done it with the economy, he’s doing it with the judicial by allowing terrorist combatatns to be tried in American civilian courts as a domestic crime, he’s attempting it with healthcare and this global warming scam, he will do the same with immigration, cap and trade and a host of others. Anyone who makes the statement that they wish our citizens would be attacked because of our Imbecilic president must have a screw loose.

It's not that I wish Islam was at war with us, it's just that they are and that's the fact of the matter.

Furthermore, this is not some minor war, but comparable to the other ones that Islam has had in the past, this one being the third major push that they have made since Islam began. It's building and it's not going away.

Now..., the critical thing is for people to realize that we're at war with Islam and to realize it fast and to remove all equivocation from the arguments that they may have that we are really not at war with Islam (even President Bush did not recognize that we were at war with Islam and even said that we worshipped the same god as they do... LOL...).

So, these things are going to happen sooner or later -- that's my thinking on the matter. And if that's the case, it's much better than it happens sooner rather than later.

And thus is my thinking on the matter -- and as I say, that it's going to happen sooner or later. Later, will be a Republican Administration and that's not good because of how it pans out for the accusations and stuff like that. For a Democrat Administration, it's better now, that later.

It's going to happen, nonetheless...
