I am sure that the government knows who made the decision. The issue is accountability. We will probably never know if the individual responsible suffered any consequences, the least of which would be a poor annual fitness report.

Just think of Gore on 9/11. THAT is all it should take for people to realize that we were very lucky to have Bush at that time.

And if he hadn't been the Republican nominee, I don't think we would have won. (Besides, what Republican running that year would have been better? Quayle? Alexander? Libby Dole?)

Not everything Bush did was to my liking. But I don't know what choices he faced when dealing with Congress, and for sure I don't know what choices he faced on the foreign policy front. I think he was a great president, and I think history will be kinder to him than the current press, or for that matter, whining members of his own party.

2000 was close only because of the revelation of Dubya’s old OMVI in Maine, released at critical moment by Chris Lahane - who is probably working for The One now in opposition research. Dubya was 4-5 points ahead solid but this drinking deal killed a lot of enthusiasm among the so-called Christian conservatives (especially retirees in Fla).

Yep and you are probably closer to the true number than the government estimate.

I am getting to the point where I just want to throw my hands up in the air.

On another thread I just read that Brennan who was responsible for vetting zero is now negotiating with the panty bomber for info and letting the world know what he is doing, they have all lost their minds.

The only thing that makes sense at this point is chaos, its got to be the plan.

It is worse than a three ring circus. The idea is to overwhelm the opposition by opening up so many fronts. They distract and divert while still moving ahead with their agenda.

Brennan has lost all credibility with me.

He was part of the GW adm.

Now he says they will consider letting more terrorists from gitmo go back to Yemen.

We already know that several let go before went back to being terrorists from when bush did it.

We thought we had it right then. Why would Brennan think that this adm. is smarter and won't be letting even more terror types go back to fight us?, It's all crazy and makes no sense whatsoever.

Rod, my opinion is that he won't be happy until the majority of Americans are wandering the landscape in rags, barefoot and scrounging for food in the dumps with the dogs. His favored few will lord it over the rest of us, demanding obeisance for crumbs.

He hates this country. Maybe because of his parents and grandparents, maybe something he picked up in Indonesia, maybe because of whoever co-opted him in college. But hate it he does, and he has every intention of bringing us down to third-world status.

He knows his policies are destructive; he is neither naive nor stupid. He is using the greed and stupidity of the democrats (and the active cooperation of the Marxist dems) to accomplish this.

That's why he doesn't care about the democrat party, his own re-election, public opinion, or the opinions of world leaders. He wants chaos and destruction for this nation. I don't see how anyone can come to any other conclusion.

RE: Very interesting! Good for Senator DeMint to hold up this guy’s confirmation!

OOPS! I confused Brennan, who apparently already is installed in a government job, with the nominee for Head of Homeland Security, who also has not played fairly with the rules of ethical behavior.

Good analysis MM.
IF there is any other reason I missed it.

Reagan was able to bypass the media and go over their heads...No Republican will be allowed to get away with that technique again. The media caught on.

Well, don't forget the Facebook and Gov Palin technique. That seems to be driving them nuts. Talk radio is still evolving. I realize the radio audience is limited, but there are ways.

Thankfully the traditional media are experiencing a financial horror show, plus their subscription/viewership numbers are shrinking.

I think one way would be for both the national and state organizations to purchase cheap cable tv time and hit up the sheeple during the times they are consuming their comfort zone crap...reality shows, American idol, sports etc.

I don't mean just during campaign time, and I don't mean long boring spots. The need clever timeless ad campaigns with some humor, relatablilty and staying power.

I do think if they want the kind of exposure that the RATs get, they're going to have to pay for it.

McCain made a lot of enemies here with immigration, that will hurt him if JD does get in... money will help McCain over JD for certain, but I think the grassroots will go out to help JD.. it will at least make this an interesting primary for a change.

I agree I just wish he would commit and get in and start rolling.

He could be on Hannity, radio and tv, once a week if he chose to.

“This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.“

Great line from Fred Thompson's character in The Hunt for Red October.

Quite true. I am expecting new regulations for Facebook any day. Can't let Palin's message get out!

There are other ways, you are so right to emphasize that. One thing I noticed is that The Anchoress is encouraging bloggers to get together and raise money for the DC scholarship fund, to get those kids who were dumped by Obama (and his refusal to extend vouchers) into decent schools. I thought that was an idea that might do a lot of kids some good, generate favorable publicity, and put the democrats on the defensive. (Of course, The Anchoress is only looking at it as a charity aspect, but the results would be what I posted.)

Thanks for posting the line-up.

The usual suspects. I will be DAMN glad when the RAT media no longer has a RINO like McInsane (Arizona, you are doing SO much that is right these days, why the hell can't you GET RID - at the polls, of course, of this scumbag?) to trot out before the cameras as "evidence" they are allowing the other side of the aisle to express their viewpoint.
