There were several ignition devices in the building per this 1985

I don’t understand why we insist on keeping the Gang units handcuffed - no pun intended - they know where and who these bstrds are and they could clean them out if the political will was there...these cops don’t get the help or the kudos they deserve dealing with this crap...

Hemet police Lt. Duane Wisehart said authorities have not found a detonation device, but they believe whoever piped in the gas through the roof intended to cause an explosion.More like Lt. Wisearse. Keen sense of the bleedin' obvious there, Duane.

Yeah we know union plumbers wouldn’t work hard enough to put it through the ceiling.

Modern utility gas (methane and traces of other hydrocarbons) has a fairly narrow range of ignitable concentration in air — something like 5 to 10% (don’t quote me as an engineering text) and if less or more than that it will not take a sustainable flame let alone explode. That’s probably why the attempt failed. It would be easier to suffocate somebody than to blow them up with methane.

I don’t buy this. Natural gas is a product delivered by pipeline and into the building through a meter.

Gosh a gang task force building and piped in gas...do you suppose there is a retaliation motive here? bwahahaha
With guys like Duane leading the force the folks in Hemet probably don’t sleep worth squat at night...
To: jessduntno
Because the politicians are supremely politically correct. They have to act like they are dealing with a bunch of Anglo-Saxons or the like. They aren't and the methods that are used to deal with WASPs aren't going to work with these gang members. We as a society have yet to understand this and deal with it.
We ignore it at our peril.
