Bucky: Do you have the SLIGHTEST F***ING CLUE who "they" are?
"They" are going to be determining a WHOLE LOT OF THINGS, not limited to "determining" that a complex consultation and the service rendered by the primary care physician are the same thing, a proposition so absurd that anyone who believes it for a second has obviously never spent five minutes in a hospital.
Bucky, "they" are going to "determine" how much your life is worth. "They" are going to "determine" what you need, and whether or not you are going to get it. "They" are going to "determine" whether your illness is worth treating, and if it is, how many $$ can be spent before you are turned into worm food.
And Bucky, you know what? "They" are a bunch of overeducated morons, lacking in common sense, not to mention judgement and wisdom. To resurrect the Governor, "they" couldn't park a bicycle straight. "They" probably don't have anything in those briefcases except a peanut butter sandwich.
Bucky, I've been around "them" for thirty-five years, and I know "them" like the back of my hand.
Bucky, if you trust "them", then the Republic is well and truly lost.
"They've determined", my ass.
Look, I’m no fan of the new healthcare system, the exact opposite. I just think we should choose our battles and in this case the coding change is one of the rare occurrences that make sense. Coding books in any profession are banes to the business they regulate. I’ve had to deal with coding on a limited basis, and it’s a pain in the butt trying to figure out what treatments get paid for and what don’t. Simply calling a procedure a different name might get you twice as much reimbursement. Eliminating codes is a good thing. Get the @#$% government out of the way entirely would be an even better thing.
