HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
Look, I’m no fan of the new healthcare system, the exact opposite. I just think we should choose our battles and in this case the coding change is one of the rare occurrences that make sense. Coding books in any profession are banes to the business they regulate. I’ve had to deal with coding on a limited basis, and it’s a pain in the butt trying to figure out what treatments get paid for and what don’t. Simply calling a procedure a different name might get you twice as much reimbursement. Eliminating codes is a good thing. Get the @#$% government out of the way entirely would be an even better thing.
You’re thinking of Rick Hamada. He’s still on. Rush is still on KHVH.
Rushed to ping You to this.
Hope he recovers!
;-)
Rush has smoked his last cigar....the docs will lay down the law..
I tuned in 10 minutes late to Rush’s show. Did W.E. Williams give us an update? I just heard him say “you can also get updates on rushlimbaugh.com” but there’s nothing new there.
Can anyone tell me what he said about Rush? Please? Thanks in advance!
That’s probably not all that contributed to his heart attack but that didn’t help matters, for certian.(him smoking.)
He’s also been yo-yo-ing on his diet...that kind of sudden, and fairly substantial weight loss/gain/loss..strains the heart and the body..
Yes,indeed it does all factor in.
Gotta go. I took a few mins to reply but don’t really have much time to spend on line, til later tonight.
Thanks for the typed chat,though!
nothing new yet...
You know what ‘they’ say about glass houses, rocks and such...;^)
You are important to us Rush! May you have a speedy and healthful recovery and many more years to rock our world :-). God Bless!!
ON Rush site...
DR. WALTER E. WILLIAMS: Well, first of all, folks, I should say that Rush continues to rest very comfortably in the hospital in Honolulu this afternoon. Actually, it’s morning out there. He had a comfortable night’s rest and is getting good medical attention. Yesterday... Let me go back a little bit. Yesterday, Wednesday, he was taken to a hospital in Honolulu after complaining of chest pains. Those pains were the kind of pains that makes one feel like he has a heart attack coming on, but it’s not been confirmed that it was a heart attack.
Today, Thursday, he’ll have a complete examination and we’ll know more. And we’ll keep everyone informed when there’s information to share. We just don’t have a lot of information to share right now. Know this, though: Rush is in good and stable condition, comfortable — as comfortable as one can be in a hospital while on vacation — and he’s in good hands. And you are in good hands today with Walter. E. Williams sitting in the Attila the Hun Chair.
Also, you can get updates on Rush just by going to RushLimbaugh.com.
read post 1753..
“Wet birds never fly at night.”
Hmmmm...ooook.
I know from personal experience a person can have chest pains the feel like a heart attack when it is something else. The doctor on Fox, who just saw Rush at a party recently and said Rush looked GREAT that night, said this hospital is a state of the art hospital and Rush could not be in a better place...
God Bless and ‘keep’ Rush here.
yea, i think that i’ve heard more than ten. ;)
Good to hear. I think we are all waiting for that “all is clear” from the Docs and that Rush has been released from the hospital with plans to be on his radio show Monday.
