This is just a tactic to lull Americans into unwatchfulness. In the end, the Dems always do what they’re told by the Speaker. Just check the list of all those who said they weren’t going to vote for it—right before they did. They know the sound bite the voters heard was that they were opposed.

They also know most Americans won’t go check to see how they voted afterward. And even fewer will remember to change their votes at the next election.

There were no PUMAs. Lieberman lied. This is just more of the same. Stupak will be brought to the White House and when he leaves, he’ll be voting for the bill. He just might not say so until he votes.

Sorry to be so pessimistic but we have to wise up and start playing offense, not defense with these people.

Pre-emptive surrender is not a plan.

I just understand Michigan politics VERY well.

Well, one sinister possibility did occur to me.

Suppose Pelosi has given Stupak permission to vote AGAINST the bill. It wouldn’t matter, as long as enough of Stupak’s colleagues folded and voted for it.

If she has enough votes to pass it with abortion still in, then she can secretly give Stupak a pass to vote “no.” Perhaps she can require someone else who was allowed to vote “no” last time around to switch.

Hey, that is all swell and lovely. Is Stupek going to stand up to them and stop this monstrosity of a frakin bill, you know, the current one that all state, save one, whose state budgets won’t be totally destroyed?

Nelson is currently 30 points down. I wonder what Bennie plans on doing in 2013?

the woman who told King Solomon, “OK, let’s split the baby and each take half.”

Sorry, FRiend, neither of the women (I Kings 3:25) suggested dividing the baby, but Solomon did that himself after ordering up the sword, presumably to let those women know he was life-and-death series.

I was referring to the fact that one of the women AGREED WITH King Solomon’s offer to split the baby in half.

Nanzi has wiggle room. It’s Hairy who doesn’t. Do you suppose the Dim senators from red states could be arrested, charged with anything that would stick for at least a few months, and held until their cases were thoroughly settled? If they didn’t show up on the Senate floor, the Dims couldn’t pass the monstrosity. Legality, schmegality, the task is to stop Hussein by any means.

Since Christmas Day, I’ve been referring to the Health Care Bill as the “alleged” Health Care Bill. Is that politically correct?

My prayers for the steadfastness of Rep. Stupak ...and if he can hold his morals high, he earns my profound respect and prayer for his safe keeping among the slings and knives of his counterparts in the Congress!

“The Bishops have warned that its blatant taxpayer funding of abortion may force them to use their lobbying arm in an attempt to bury the bill on the final vote.”

Whaaaaat? You mean they haven’t been using their lobbying arm all along?

Scandal.

“Couldn’t you just waterboard me instead?”

That one hits the nail right on the head.

The people who complain about waterboarding our blood enemies are actively pushing to increase the number of babies killed.

If that were possible we’d already be the Soviet Socialist Republic of Amerikastan.

Nancy let the Stupak amendment go through, now she won't let the bill pass with it still in. Who's being played here?!

And she calls herself a Catholic.

We’re almost there now, and someone said rightly that you can’t score on defense. The Dims have pretty much thrown the pieces of the law out the window. I’m willing to hurt it a bit more trying to save the Republic.
