I just want to add, that over at www.HillBuzz.org they have a well researched thread up on where every former President, since Nixon, has spent their ‘in-office’ Christmases.

The Reagans ALWAYS spent the holiday at the White House (so that SS and other staff could be with their families—yes Reagon was THAT thughtful).

GHWB and GWB spent their collective twelve Christmases in office at Camp David.

The Clintons went to a ‘borrowed’ from a friend FL home once; the Fords went to the place they OWNED in Vail; Carters to Plains, GA (again they stayed on their own property); and Nixon hung out, at his friend BeBe Rebozo’s place (ie no rent) in FL.

Amazingly, only Lord Obama has felt the need to drain the federal coffers for THREE rented beachfront mansions.

And then hangs out the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign (the Detroit incident on Christmas Eve happened at 6:51a.m. Hawaii time...Barry wasn’t ‘told’ til three hours later).

obama’s family couldn't make it out to Hawaii when grandma was being “nudged” to the hereafter, but now you just can't keep these folks from runnning to Hawaii. Does he have any family in Hawaii...notice that he doesn't visit the step-brother in the hut, and the step-brother doesn't visit him in the White House. Despicable obama goes through all the motions of a man with a family..what does he tell his children about this time of year and why they do not exchange presents? I'd love to be privy to that commentary.
