I have to agree that outlawing all electronic devices in carry-on luggage is something I could live with.
Clearly, you don’t have to travel with a laptop. Would you check your laptop then???
Because you can trust TSA to leave your thousand-dollar laptop in your suitcase, which they search when you are not present?
That’s very nice of you, but to many on business travel, it would be a royal pain. I travel with no checked baggage, and a Mini-9 and a Kindle in my backpack. So I now have to check that bag, and get those extra delays, plus I’ll not be able to work on say a 13 hour flight to China? And yet the same govt that comes up with this cr*p gave this guy a visa and didn’t pull it when they put him on some half-*ss bad guy list?
I could too. After quitting my job and never flying again. Can't check a laptop or camera; they have a nasty tendency to vanish from luggage in transit. As an overtired co-worker recently learned.
And that little kid with the piercing screech across the aisle on the 8 to 12 hour flight from Europe, well the stewards better come supplied with lots of duct tape to keep you in your seat...
