On or about Oct 8th 2009, Dr. Umaru Abdul Mutallab, wealthy banker and father of Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab, age 23, contacted the F.B.I. and said he was extremely concerned about his son's welfare due to his Islamic fanaticism and extremist views and feared he could get involved with Islamic terrorism. He said he and his son had not spoken directly for almost a year, but he had received reliable reports from friends and relatives who were in contact with him and they believed he was headed for serious trouble. According to the classified information given by his father, Abdulmutallab had studied mechanical engineering at the University College of London. He had enrolled in 2005 and was last known to be a student in late 2008. Since he had dropped out of college his whereabouts was uncertain.
Abdulmutallab was granted a Visa to travel to the United States. It was issued June 16, 2008 and was good until June 12, 2010.
Abdulmutallab was last known to be living in a 4 million dollar flat in Central London in an upscale West Side neighborhood near the former President of Pakistan flat.
On or about Oct 15th, 2009 a link analysis showed Abdulmutallab had serious connections to known Al Qeada operatives and/or associates. An intelligence analyst entered Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab data with all his known associations into a national data base where it stayed without further follow up.

Cynic at work here; he may have contacted the FBI for selfish reasons, not for concern for the U.S. but because he didn’t want his son committing suicide or being prosecuted for an attempted terrorist attack. That would not only cause him heartache or headache, but would put him and the rest of his family on the radar screen forever. On the other hand, a poor muslim family would be less likely concerned historically because they basically have nothing to lose, they usually get a bonus from some muslim dictator for having their child commit suicide and take infidels with them, etc. I’m yet to be convinced “moderate” muslims even exist; they’ll have to reform from within (a reformation) before I believe for one moment they’re concerned about the rest of the world. Time will tell, in the meantime, it’s only the first inning in a 14 hundred year war with the West. Stay tuned.

So am I correct in assuming this guy flew into Amsterdam from Lagos on a different plane? Apparently they let him off the plane, for transferring to another. There are lots of things here that make no sense. I cannot imagine that Dutch customs would allow someone roaming around Schiphol without a valid passport.
Sounds to me that Obozo needs to be impeached and his entire admin removed before another 9/11 occurs.

Actualy, icwhatudo, that is a really good point. Even I have felt that improving economic and social conditions may help some, and maybe so. However, this individual case certainly disagrees with that concept. Thanks for your attention to that detail.

In November 2010, we can VOTE and get rid of a huge number of the numbsculls all at once. I’m hoping the rout will scare the fire out of some more of them. Then .. then, we can begin to rebuild. Throwing in the towel is out of the question.

As for the “distractions” .. that’s not what they are. The health-care and cap & tax messes are nothing more than a brazen plan to bring America to her knees. This has been Obama’s goal from childhood. Obama plans .. God laughs.
But .. Jesus told us, “Never give up”. So we must martial the troups to VOTE and make it count.
This article clearly shows the failure at DHS to put this guy on the ‘no-fly’ list.
The bomb was undetectable by any means other than a strip search and would have been unnecessary had DHS put this guy on the right list.
Of course, nobody will lose their jobs over this.
I am so angry that “THEY” will strip search, and profile old veterans in wheelchairs, and tiny Catholic Nuns, but when there’s a real zinger like this guy, they look the other way, and put us all in peril.
Who the heck is “THEY” - because no one gets strip searched at an airport. That’s completely ridiculous. This entire statement is a completely off the chart exaggeration.
Instead of being called an attempted terrorist attack, i just heard someone on the radio call it an attempt to disrupt a flight!
back in 01-02 they held my 78 yr old dad veteran of WWII for an hour while they searched his bags and belt and shoes

Maj. Hasan and this guy fit into some of these areas, and our country is less safe now with Obama and his crowd who are enablers, if not conspirators.
