Perhaps if there are enough incidents, Dear Leader will have a good enough excuse to declare marshal law, suspend elections, consfiscate firearms, etc.....

You know the answer: Political Correctness (PC).
PC was largely responsible for the deaths of 241 Marines and Sailors in the October 1983 Beirut bombing (sponsored/financed by the islamic republic of iran). PC has killed lots of Americans/Westerners in the past 30-40 years. PC is responsible for the current Rules of Engagement. PC will continue to kill many more.
The irony is that PC kills liberals as much as it kills anyone else.
