WASHINGTON An official briefed on the attack on a Detroit airliner says the U.S. has known for at least two years that the suspect in the attack could have terrorist ties.

2 years is the key. That makes it.....Wait for it..... Bush’s Fault.
START PROFILING NOW!
omg it’s Bush’s fault! shut up Obamie and be a man for once!
Actually - Zero now “owns” our security forces.
It’s HIS responsibiity that our security apparatus and especially our rigorous cooperation with other nations on in the war on terror - are breaking down!
its all bush fault - wait till the 2010 election - blame it all on Bush -
It is part Bush’s fault. He was busy spreading democracy instead of killing people who have ties with AlQueda. We should officially declare war on AlQueda and kill everyone that claims to be part of... or who has communications with.
This guy didn’t do anything on Bush’s watch.
Translation:
The year we knew he was a threat (and Bush was President) he was not able to attack.
The year we knew he was a threat (and Obama was President) he WAS able to attack.
Spin is a game we all can play.
Fox is showing interview with Israeli security expert who just said, ‘I don’t think this individual, who would have been extensively interviewed before boarding a plane at Ben Gurion airport would have made it onto a plane there.”
God help us to one day have security services as good as those in Israel.
But I don’t think it will ever happen. PC crap will kill many more.
Meanwhile little old ladies in wheelchairs will have to lift their pant legs now before being allowed onto our planes...
WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT?!?!?!?!?!?
(bashes head repeatedly against keyboard)
(A second list of "too bad if they're on a surveillance list, let them fly anyway" ?)
Hey--if 9-11 was an inside job by Bush/Cheney/Halliburton, then this one is a snap. /sarc>
Cheers!
i am all for Israel;s screening process - I hear that Homeland Security and FBI is fighting one another - God help us !
Yep, just another mess handed to the messiah that he will have to clean up.
I once showed airport securtiy my car rental receipt instead of my boarding pass....they looked exactly the same...you would have thought that I showed them a bomb and declared that my mission was to blow up the airport and everyone in it for all of the hassle they gave me for it. I must have been highly suspect, a white girl traveling with a white puppy!
From two reports (one from the metrodetroit web site by a pasenger on the plane and another from a passenger seated next to the ROPer) it seems like the guy was drugged. First, at the ticket counter, it was the Indian guy doing all the talking; then, after his leg had been severely burned, the ROPer did not react. Drugged.
So we have two lists of terrorists? Those terrorists who are allowed to fly and those terrorists who aren't?
Mutallab was not on the no-fly list.
Well, that worked out great, didn't it?
This scum was flying to Detroit for an Islamic conference.
Would it have behooved someone, anyone, to scrutinize someone like this, who purchased a one way ticket.
National security is an afterthought to this administration.
Can’t upset the muslims, you know! CAIR would be unahppy, you know!
Our opposition can use that logic at their peril. The same logic applied to 2001 squarely pins 9/11 back to Clinton; our first REAL black President and the Democrats.
If I were a muzzie doing intel work, I would go for attacks in and around the first year of a new Presidency. That way, I can test an Administrations resolve, I can get the political parties pointing fingers and engaged in in-fighting on top of the useless talking heads making stupid assertions and keeping the American people in the dark due to their ignorance.
Meanwhile, I plan a couple more ops. Anyone that takes muzzies for fools is under-estimating their enemy; something that will come back to bite.
