Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume that Pelosi would have called for a vote on the Senate version of Obamacare today if she had the votes in her pocket. That would have sent the bill as is to Obama as Christmas present. If not today then a vote sometime next week would seem to be a likelihood - if the Dems have the votes.
Since neither of these options appear to be in the cards, I conclude that this bill is definitely going to conference. That's a good thing.
Of course there may be some House rule that precludes either of these. If so, I would be interested in hearing what that rule is.
I think they want to sneak a few more things in before they let it pass...under the guise of compromise.
This is just another kitty for them to dip into every year....
