Nothing like defending criminal action. The police see this differently.

Hopefully the business owner will sue the burglar’s estate for the cost of the bullet and wear and tear on the weapon.

Don’t you just love how our recent immigrants have so quickly grasped the concepts of private property, Rule of Law and “Thou Shalt Not Steal”?

If this is a Liberal area, trust me the business owner will be indicted. I remember several years ago a burglar (I think it was in California) sued a homeowner when the burglar fell through a skylight on the homeowner’s roof and was injured. The burglar won. Go figure. For Liberals the criminals are GOOD, the victims are BAD.

“She believes that business owner should be charged with a crime.”
No, he oughtta get a medal. The business owner should file a suit against the mother and girlfriend for allowing this asshole to be a crook.
“The police see this differently.” Most street cops I knew, including me, would have applauded the businessman.

In such cases, all the victim needs to do is tell the police that the now-dead perp said “I’m going to kill you”...

"The scenario was he broke into the business, doesnt give a person the right to shoot somebody, especially if you don't see a weapon, said Deana Arellano. Actually, it does, Deana. You're a dope, and so is your daughter, as demonstrated by her hooking up with a failed criminal. Better luck next time.

The woman is upset that her meal ticket is dead, and she’s going to have to find somebody else to sleep in her bed for pay.

Of course, the burglar was a good person, son, and father, who was turning his life around.

“Then no weapon was found, doesn’t give you the right to shoot somebody. There are laws against that and I think there needs to be a full investigation.” I don't have a problem with an investigation. Who knows? Maybe the business owner is actually a narcotics distributor and this is a deal gone bad. But if you conclude that the business owner is telling the truth, that's all you need to close this file.

"The scenario was he broke into the business, doesnt give a person the right to shoot somebody, especially if you don't see a weapon, said Deana Arellano. Actually, in my book it does. You have no idea what the person coming at you intends to do, nor what he/she is capable of. Why put it to a test of strength and fighting skills? I work out, lift weights, and can hold my own against 90% of the people I see on the street. But one of the things having "some skills" teaches you is that there is always someone stronger/faster/better. A fair fight means a fair chance of losing, with possibly mortal consequences. In this scenario, I'd fight to win, and I would use everything I had, including deadly force.
