Translation...he doesn’t want to have the HCR passed by the State of the Union because of it’s unpopularity. He’d have to talk about it in the State of the Union, if it passed, and he’d see his numbers fall even more.

We have one more month of this nonsense, then 2010 rolls around. It’s an election year and no one in congress likes their prospects.

Don’t buy this for one second. They are lying right through their teeth.

I’m immediately skeptical of any information that comes out of this White House. What I don’t doubt however is that the internal polling must be REALLY ugly right now for Obama and the Democrats, so it is feasible that reality may be finally beginning to rear its ugly head with them. Perhaps they now believe it’s best to just ram this toxic sludge of a “health care” bill through on the “down low” the remainder of the way and refrain from trumpeting it so they might save themselves from a complete and total political annihilation next November.

Warped thinking to be sure, but interesting nonetheless...

It’s the opposite- he prob thinks he is unpopular because it has NOT passed yet.

I disagree. He doesn't care about popularity or they wouldn't be ramming the bill through now with such fervor. He will talk about the Health Care Bill anyway whether its passed or not. So a delay has nothing to do with the SOTU from a PR standpoint. this bill won't be delayed by some SOTU speech because they have to gear up for the 2010 elections and get this HealthCare bill behind them ASAP.

I don’t think it’s just the State of the Union, I think it got pretty tough for them in the end and he wants to give them some breathing room. Also gives them time to cheat and scheme in back rooms then throw the damn thing at us right before they pass it.

Which is why we all need to keep this debate in the news. We need to keep protesting, fighting to stop it. I know everyone’s discouraged, I have been too but I honestly think this is a sign that some of his minions aren’t too thrilled about having their whatevers served up on a platter.

I also think we need to get full page ads with short understandable points of what this bill will do to Americans. Even if we can’t run them in every city, they will make the news if it’s well done.

Keep fighting, it ain’t over til it’s over!
