I actually do believe Cap and Trade is dead. I think Congress and the White House will spend the rest of their rapidly waning political capital in 2010 by trying to make one final suicidal push to force amnesty of illegal immigrants into law.

We all know that a wounded enemy is the most dangerous. I am hoping they don't realize how badly they are hurt until it is too late, but it should be obvious.

They can't even pretend to write a "path to citizenship" bill unless it makes illegals "go to the back of the line," and since many legal immigrants have waiting times of 10 years or more, the amnestied illegals would not vote in 2010 or 2012. However, if by some miracle they did pass amnesty this year, it would be excruciatingly difficult to repeal because of BO's veto until at least 2012 and the courts.

I am hoping FR will post info on numbersusa.com to use their free faxes and letters to stop amnesty. Maybe fewer Mitt bashing ads. We get it about Mitt. numbersusa.com creates the letters and you can edit them to fax free. We can stop amnesty.
