Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under an UNSCHEDULED LEAVE policy.
This Means . . . Employees who cannot report for work may request unscheduled leave for their entire scheduled workday. Employees must notify their supervisors of their intent to take unscheduled leave. Emergency employees are expected to report for work on time.

My fellow Freepers will be glad to know I DO plan on going to work tomorrow. I'm starting to get cabin fever anyway!

It is ridiculous how a little snow shuts down are government. Man they’d have a tough time in the private sector.
Also, I think that’s a bad link.

I had already taken tomorrow off. My wife works for the DoD and I am kicking her butt out of the house and back to Crystal City.
I told her that since my taxes pay for her salary I was going to make sure she was giving me my money's worth.

“Liberal leave for liberals.”
You’d be surprised how many federal employees are quite conservative.

And I'll be on the Metro to Rosslyn. . .hopefully the wonderfully professional Metro system will be up and running. Just have to get a break from the wife and mother-in-law. Argh. . . I'll wave when I pass Crystal City.

Little snow?
You obviously weren’t here. I compare this snowstorm to the ones in 1996 and 1966. If you can’t drive on the roads, you can’t go to work.
I’ll be at work tomorrow - but I’ll be very careful getting there.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

This is always the time to find out who the emergency employees are.

Now wait a minute...
You just have to figure out which 2 people in an office of 25 are actually doing the work.
Then, you have found your conservatives (both of them).
