I went on the GOProud website; I left a message that they couldn’t call themselves conservatives if they supported same sex marriage. Period.
To me, conservative issues always meant low taxes, small government, 2nd amendment, strong defense and constitutional arguments (like the right to life which included the right not to be ripped out of the womb based on lifestyle desires of the mother).
When did being a conservative change to mean adhering to fundamentalist Christian doctrine?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just wondering when you had to subscribe to theological opinions in order to call yourself a “conservative”?
