Understood, and thanks for pointing that out. The thing is even if it has been going on for years, the current world climate makes it a bigger deal, wouldn’t you agree? Iran is getting way too big for its britches!

That previous times this has happened, the Iranians left in a rather short amount of time. However, if they do not exit soon this time, it will have to be the Iraqi Army that gets them out.

Any action in this matter by the US would make the Iraqis look week and in the long run would be bad for the US and very bad for the legitimacy of the current Iraqi government.
