NEW YORK -- Considered one way, Charles Gibson 's career in TV news seems to be a model of stability: 34 years logged with one employer, ABC. There, he did his job well and rose to the top echelon of his profession, forming a firm bond with his viewers and offering his gracious signoff, "I hope you had a good day."
On the other hand, Gibson, who Friday retires from the "World News" anchor desk and from ABC as a full-time employee, is bowing out as more than an admired network news star.
At 66, he's a proven utility player, game to handle a range of positions and scramble to the rescue when needed.

Went out giving Gore a Lewinski over his poem.... I think you have your left-wing ABC News anchors mixed up. Gore read his poem to an adoring Harry Smith. Harry will be with us for a while.

How will we find out what we're supposed to be thinking?
WHO'S GOING TO TELL US WHAT WE THINK?!?!
Somebody wake me up when his obituary is published.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

I never watched Charlie Gibson, with the exception of when he interviewed Sarah Palin. The little opinion of him I had crashed to the ground after I saw how he treated Sarah will utter contempt and disrespect.Same here. Did you happen to catch any of his interview with zero the other night? Remember how he was in a taller chair for Sarah's interview? Not so with zero. He was at the same height if not a lower chair.
The saying: "Hate to see you leaving, but sure glad you are gone" comes to my mind.

GOOD RIDDANCE.
Perhaps now that he’s off the air, he can get that badly needed CHIN IMPLANT.
Personally, however, I think the BRAIN IMPLANT should be at the top of the list.
