Continue with your obvious hero worship.

So, supporting my favorite candidate is equal to hero worship? I am supporting her 100%. Do I worship her? No, I worship Jesus Christ, Creator and Savior of the Universe. She does, too. She also has a beautiful son with Downs Syndrome, and a little "bastard" granddaughter. In addition, she has her eldest, who is dedicated to protecting my (and yours) ass in uniform service to our Country. She has three beautiful daughters, and a husband that makes Ahnold look like a sissy.

Margaret Thatcher? Sarah had something to say to her...

Birthday Wishes to Margaret Thatcher
Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 3:59pm

I would like to extend warm birthday wishes to Margaret Thatcher today. Baroness Thatcher continues to remain a role model to many people, particularly women, around the world. Her career is a collection of "firsts." She was the youngest female Conservative Party member to stand for election in history, she was the first woman to hold the title Leader of the Opposition, and she was the first woman to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

As Prime Minister, she took an active role in defending economic freedom and democratic ideals. Her push to privatize British industry and lower tax rates led to a substantial economic expansion in the United Kingdom. She was just as influential in foreign policy. Along with President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, Prime Minister Thatcher recognized the evil of Communism and worked tirelessly to erode the power and influence of the Soviet Union.

Her life and career serve as a blueprint for overcoming the odds and challenging the "status quo." She started life as a grocer's daughter from Grantham and rose to become Prime Minister - all by her own merit and hard work. I cherish the accomplishments of Margaret Thatcher and will always count her as one of my role models.

And, in the WSJ, John O'Sullivan in Dec.08:

Inevitably, Lloyd Bentsen's famous put-down of Dan Quayle in the 1988 vice-presidential debate is resurrected, such as by Paul Waugh (in the London Evening Standard) and Marie Cocco (in the Washington Post): "Newsflash! Governor, You're No Maggie Thatcher," sneered Mr. Waugh. Added Ms. Coco, "now we know Sarah Palin is no Margaret Thatcher -- and no Dan Quayle either!"

Jolly, rib-tickling stuff. But, as it happens, I know Margaret Thatcher. Margaret Thatcher is a friend of mine. And as a matter of fact, Margaret Thatcher and Sarah Palin have a great deal in common. ...

... Mrs. Palin has a long way to go to match this. Circumstances may never give her the chance to do so. Even if she gets that chance, she may lack Mrs. Thatcher's depths of courage, firmness and stamina -- we only ever know such things in retrospect.

But she has plenty of time, probably eight years, to analyze America's problems, recruit her own expert advice, and develop conservative solutions to them. She has obvious intelligence, drive, serious moral character, and a Reaganesque likability. Her likely Republican rivals such as Bobby Jindal and Mitt Romney, not to mention Barack Obama, have most of these same qualities too. But she shares with Mrs. Thatcher a very rare charisma. As Ronnie Millar, the latter's speechwriter and a successful playwright, used to say in theatrical tones: She may be depressed, ill-dressed and having a bad hair day, but when the curtain rises, out onto the stage she steps looking like a billion dollars. That's the mark of a star, dear boy. They rise to the big occasions. ...

In other news, I'm looking at the start of the weekend snow in eastern WV! At least I have FreeRepublic to keep me warm! It also keeps my BP at all time highs!

Sarah isn't perfect, and neither is JD Hayworth. He is skinny now, though. In the end, Arizona will elect whoever gets the most votes...

12/5 dusting. This weekend they're saying 6-12"

I agree with every word here. That is not enough, in and by itself to support her, no matter what she says or does.

I lived in Hun. WV as a small kid. Beatiful state.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
