First of all, we don't know if Sarah is going to actively campaign for McCain in the Arizona Republican primary, and if McCain does get the nomination, we don't know if she will actively campaign for him in the general election. I can't imagine she will do that so in this regard I would want to wait and see how strong her commitment is to seeing McCain win re-election.
But the fact the Ron Paul is critical of the Iraq war and has been critical of the recent fiscal policies of the GOP in Congress shows where he stands, and in any event his supporters reveal more about where they stand by not criticizing Obama as much as they criticize some GOPers.
Victoria, I criticize Obama, but I can tell you I don’t jump in on every thread. We all know what a blithering idiot he is, and nobody here is defending him.
We wish for Sarah to be the best she can be, so yes we do raise the issue when we think she has made a mistake.
Do I want to see her make a comment like this in the last few months before the election? Heck no! That’s why I address it now.
The Tea Party is the best thing Conservatives have going right now. Do the Tea Party folks think McCain is our future? Heck no, they don’t. Do you want to stand by while Sarah telegraphs that she thinks McCain is 100% supportable?
No..., you don’t. That’s all I’m sayin’. We don’t do her any favors if we allow her to make a mistake and then she hears nothing but silence, or an atta girl.
She has a good heart, but she absolutely must grow before she can be elected president.
