If you don’t think it’s juvenile to defend someone for saying something that’s indefensible, simply because you’re politically infatuated with her, then there’s two things you and I disagree about.

As for you posting links to more information about her, that’s great. And if she pans out to be someone who truly does support all the things John McCain has, you’ll be the one to be able to celebrate that.

I wonder how much of that will fit in a tagline?

To you, it's "indefensible". Your dismissive verbiage doesn't change her stature...

No, the lady herself did that.

And to be quite frank, nothing scares me more than to see blind loyalty.

Blind loyalty to political figures has caused the world too much grief.

“That doesn’t mean that a poster who agrees with me cannot voice the opinion that I spoke the truth. IMO, I spoke the truth. In his opinion I spoke the truth. And in the opinions of other people, I spoke the truth. I’m still not going to sit here and watch you bend yourself in knots, to dismiss my comments being true.”

A mental masurbation if there ever was one.

You seem to think you can magically turn opinion into truth, if you or someone else believes it to be the case.

Funny stuff and thanks for the entertainment.

The crux of the matter is that you think Palin screwed up with her statement regarding McCain.

That is your opinion. Not fact. Not truth.

My opinion is that
1)it was politically savvy to not look ungrateful for such a huge political deed.
2)You and others are gullible for not seeing this.

"A mental masturbation if there ever was one..."

And this from a guy who is twisting himeslf in knots to support the idea Palin's comment were wise.

Hey, is my opinion that McCain was the Republican nominee in 2008, true or not?  Come on fella, you can do it.  I know you can.

No, Palin did screw up with her statement regarding McCain.  It is a fact and it is also true.  It's just as true as McCain being the Republican nominee in 2008.

Well, I can't help it if your opinions are not true or fact.  That doesn't mean that when you judge others, the same standard applies.
It does begin to make things a lot clearer though.

1) Hayworth hasn't declared.

rabs: "Yet."

Should Palin, a Republican, have based her endorsement or non-endorsement of McCain, the de facto Republican Senate candidate from Arizona, on the as-of-yet non-declaration for the office by an as-of-yet non-candidate?

Or should she have supported the Democrat?

2) Palin is a Republican.

rabs: "So was Scozzafava.

And Specter, before he went home to the Democrat mother ship."

Are you insinuating that Palin is a liberal Republican akin to Dede and pre-GOP-defection Arlen?

3) Palin was asked by McCain to run for Vice President. Under these circumstances, a failure to support McCain would display ingratitude, lack of good political judgment and indecisiveness unbecoming of any conservative.

rabs: "Then she has put Party over principle."

It's an idiotic statement.

The woman has come out against Cap And Trade and Nationalized Health Care, she's for drilling, she's anti-abortion, pro-second amendment, she rejects the notion of man-made global warming, she's against gay marriage...but she's not worthy of your support...she backs a guy who asked her to be on his presidential ticket...and you can't "in good conscience support her."

I knew you'd come out against this woman, and I told you so. You're a predictable drone.

"And so have you."

Your principles amount to electing Democrats. Piss off.

Go F yourself you little punk.

Building a "national organization"--i.e., as Lindsey Graham puts it, being "relevant"--is pointless if you have to sell your soul to the political devil in order to do it.

Who in the F are you to tell me what to do...

The majority of the present U.S. public debt, on-balance-sheet and off-balance-sheet, was created during the past fifty or so years.

I'd say your generation--Republicans and Democrats--is the one telling mine what to do, seeing as it has committed folks like me, without our consent, to work off its own debts. In previous centuries, such a thing might be called "involuntary servitude" or a thinly disguised version of slavery.

Now go to your room and do your homework.

I already did.

And I found that the last Republican executive to actually downsize the Federal government and pay off its debts while facing a Republican Congress was that of Calvin Coolidge, which ended just over eighty years ago.

In sharp contrast, the most recent Republican executive and the most recent Republican Congress completely screwed up by squandering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to downsize the Federal government.

As a consequence, I will stand by my earlier statement, which you seem to have problems with:

Either support libertarian conservatives, or get lost.

since the United States today stands at a critical point in its history.

The debts are mounting, the government is getting TOO big for its britches (and not all of the increase in girth is Obama's fault), and the United States is effectively insolvent.

If this trend is not reversed--or if the United States has already crossed the Rubicon, so to speak--then all is lost, and it's every man (or woman) for himself (or herself).

Would this be the dismissive verbiage you're referring to?

“I am so sorry if people took this silly incident the wrong way. I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago. So much for trying to be incognito."
