>>Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
I have to disagree. FR is not “fringe”.
I disagree with the fundamentalist, too!
Christian basic leaning, sure!
But surely not fundamentalist!
“Fringe” is an invective that we have long since outgrown. It is quite mainstream to challenge socialism and fascism. It is quite mainstream to advocate for the free exercise of religion. It is quite mainstream to stand athwart history and yell “Stop!”
No, it represents MAINSTREAM values. The vast majority of Americans actually identify as conservative.
Absolutely... We are not on the "fringe"; we're at the center of the right-wing Christian preservation movement.
FR is not fringe.
We are getting to be less fringe by the day. Soon we will be the whole bedspread!
Jim, I have to disagree, we are not fringe right-wing or fundamentalist.
We are conservative common sense constitutionalists.
Relax you're in good company. I'm sure that's how the British dismissed the American colonist upstarts with their extreme notions of freedom. This is mainstream America. If they think we're "fringe" its because they've gone over the edge on the Marxist radical left.
“FR is not fringe.”
This is true as evidenced by the Tea Parties with signs like “Stop Ignoring Us” and even “Buyer’s Remorse.” Many of the people who voted stupidly just didn’t know what Obama and other libDems stood for (sadly).
...”I have to disagree. FR is not fringe.”...
Agreed!!!! FR was instrumental in defeating the fraud John Kerry back in 2004, brought down the leftist CBS “newsman” Dan Rather, and is leading the way in educating a large number of Americans about the dangers of the current occupant of the WH and his hard left, anti-American regime.
Because of Jim (”Thompson”) Robinson’s vision and dedication, we have an invaluable infomational resource that also is a bulwark against leftist tyranny.
