Science tries to explain how; religion explains why.

Well, you have a bit more to travel to begin to see clearly.

Science explains how things happen; religion tries to tell us why they happen.

That description of ‘Darwinism’ was completely wrong. So sorry.

Oh me! Oh my!

And I have just been pinging all my facebook friends to come over here and check out this post that my wife put up. It’s written by my sister, who sseems to be one of the millions who have had enough of the lies that are being perpetrated.

I am a witness. I was there.

I was a college student in 1970 – 1974, when the professors, politicians, and protestors told me that our planet was running out of water and other natural resources, that the planet couldn’t sustain so many humans, and that within thirty years we would face a global hard freeze that would end life on earth.

I remember.

I was a college student in 1973, when Roe vs. Wade was passed, making abortion legal. The reasoning fit with the dire prediction of our imminent end. Since there were already too many inhabitants of earth, since humans were depleting all of earth’s resources, then reducing the population by getting rid of unwanted children via abortion made sense, and practicing artificial birth control to prevent pregnancy made even more sense, according to the professors, politicians and protestors.

Today, thirty-nine years later, I am a witness to the same dire prediction of our imminent end, but now we are told that we will burn instead of freeze. We haven’t run out of natural resources, but we have a huge hole in the population because we think we are doing somebody a favor by preventing or aborting the next generation. Pity the tens of millions of women who live with the consequence of their choice.

The professors, politicians and protestors have spoken with false authority. Their message has proven to be untrue, unreliable, unwise, and catastrophic for our planet and her family.

It’s my turn to predict.

I speak with authority. My message is true, reliable and wise. You do not know what will happen today, much less what will happen thirty years from now. You are alive today, and one day your earthly life will end. At that moment you will face the One who begins and ends life, and you will give account for every Today that you have lived. Don’t allow professors, politicians and protestors to derail you from the truth that you know in your core.

Do the right thing today,
Be wise in everything you think, do and say,
Every visible and invisible thing will pass away,
Only Truth will remain.

*** think I’m being sent there.***

Sent where, to hell, no one knows where they will be sent.

I once had a priest say God sends no one to hell, it is chosen by the person. To try to explain, some people due to their disposition and life led could not be happy in heaven and they would choose something else...I cannot imagine someone like Hillary or the left choosing to go to heaven, they could not gain any power over those that are living there...Some people think they deserve heaven, but Jesus says not necessarily. Even if they cast of demons in his name or help the poor in his name...his words are depart from me you workers of iniquity, I know you not...He writes the invitations not man...

For me personally, I depend on his mercy or I'd be up a creek. Further more we are told to not judge ourselves because only God can know us well enough to do that..

So there are 2 different ways in on answer on the subject. Even some of the catholic church saints had great problems dealing with faith and unbelief...Don't judge yourself so harshly, for even you don't know your worth in God's Eyes..

Moses disobeyed Gods order when it came to getting water out of a stone for the people...He did it his way and not Gods way..

It had something to do with Moses being told to talk to the stone rather than hitting it with a rod.To hit it with his rod took God out of the picture as the people could give moses credit for the water and not the glory to God....(this is my memory of what scripture said about why Moses would not enter the promise land, but God showed it to him before he died.....No one knows where he was buried so that a shrine or Idol could be made of his grave...(Again I have to depend on my old memory to dig these things out)

Did you ever think you would see the day when the world was turned so upside down that bad was represented as good and good was represented as bad and a web site could be labeled as 'fringe' just because they dare to say...

FR is not “fringe”.

No, it represents MAINSTREAM values. The vast majority of Americans actually identify as conservative.

I’ve seen a lot of Anti-Mormon Hatred here.
It just so happens that my Father is a Mormon.
Anyone that says my Father is NOT a good man I will have a problem with.

In the last presidential election I felt that Romney might have been preferable to McCain. His Mormonism was not a problem for me. I did believe he was on the Liberal side But I also felt that compared to the field of candidates he may have had the Financial skills to help our country, given the financial problems occurring at that time.

I switched Parties for the Primary to vote for Hillary as part of Operation Chaos. To keep the Dems Fighting with each other. My vote by itself is not worth much in my Blue State.

The addition of Sarah to McCain’s campaign Fired me up.
It seemed that there might be hope for America after all.
My opinion of Sarah is that she is a good person and honest.
America certainly could use some honest Leadership.

Unfortunately it seemed like even with Sarah the McCain campaign never got airborne. In the end I voted for McCain and hoped for the best.

I am Not a religious man But, I do believe that the Founders had Divine inspiration when they Drafted our Constitution.

I support Smaller Constitutional Government, A Balanced Budget, Respect for our Troops and Defense of the Constitution against all Enemies Foreign and Domestic.

Perhaps I am not sufficiently Religious to be considered an ally. The other day one of the other posters referred me to a Paper written by a Racist and Nazi Sympathizer. It made me wonder about some of the more extreme Christians here.

I have learned Not to get involved in the Religious threads,
as It can burn up a tremendous amount of time and Takes away from my primary interest in reading the News articles.

"Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site"

Preach it, brother! Seeing that headline in Breaking News made my day. I proudly claim "right-wing Christian fundamentalist", but they are on the fringe of America. We are the heart and soul. That's why they're all so loud. Can I get an "Amen"!!

I once was given a description of a Darwinian as being the type of person who would sit patiently at an auto junk yard, waiting for that Ferrari they so yearned for to ‘happen’ - either by lightening, windstorm, or earthquake to trigger it’s creation from the primordial mix of all the required elements which were definitely present.

Oh, goodie! We had an earthquake today. I'm expecting my Ferrari (but couldn't it be a Fiat X1/9 instead, please?) at any moment now.

Well said. And thank you for using the term “pro-Liberty.”

In my mind there is a difference between “Liberty” and the more fashionable term “Freedom.” The Founding Fathers saw Liberty as implying responsibility and a measure of Virtue. Freedom, sadly, in our toxic culture has been merging with license.
