Bush Closes the Gap(Obama Support st 50%,44% Prefer Bush)
Politico ^ | December 9, 2009 | Ben Smith

Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that's somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country's difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited.

The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections.

It's racism, pure and simple for Obama's low ratings. [sarcasm off]

We need to begin prefixing ‘0bama’ with “failed president.”

As my husband said last night, Obama is the big skid mark on the underwear of America.

Somebody should take Bush's final poll numbers to show how low 50-44 indicates Obama's numbers really are. If Bush was in the 30s and he's almost level with the O-man...

I noticed “duplicate” as keyword. A search prior to posting “Bush Closes the Gap” came up with “nothing matched your criteria” and even now after posting it it still comes up with the same results.

Give Bush six months and the numbers will be reversed. Obama is in a free fall.

I'd be tap dancing in Macy's window if we had President Bush from his first 4 years... I would even be delighted with the big gooberment Bush of his latter days, when up against the marxist, al qaeda, usurping, kenyan queer, "cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, ****less, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is. Kudo's to Mr. Griswald!

I once took a pair of underwear like that, and I buried under the bottom of my college roommate’s box of Cheerios. It was sooo funny two weeks later when he got to the bottom of the box!

voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country's difficulties instead of and giving him space hell because of the tough situation he inherited created.

If the poll lines between Dubya and Obama cross, then Jeb Bush might run in 2012.

Indeed, a profound observation that is quite hilarious but in afterthought tempered by the realization that unfortunately we, the American people, are the punch line.
