Any thoughts about ancestral stuff as it has to do with adoption? Would one be susceptible to both families histories with this stuff - or is it more of an environmental thing where you would be more susceptible to these things through close contact with the adoptive family (families?). Just curious.
I wonder if some of the methods of recovering from these things can be applied if you don’t know if it’s happened (like through my birth family). I’m pretty darn sure my adoptive father was very susceptible to this kind of thing given his history of abusiveness and the other things that happened in his life... It just makes sense because he was not an alcoholic, or drug user - so psychological and/or spiritual factors in his behavior are the only explanations, really.
