A MYSTERIOUS giant spiral of light that dominated the sky over Norway this morning has stunned experts who believe the space spectacle is an entirely new astral phenomenon.
Thousands of awe-struck Norwegians bombarded the Meteorological Institute to ask what the incredible light that could be seen in the pre-dawn sky for hundreds of miles could possibly be.
The phenomenon has been dubbed 'Star-Gate' as the world's top scientists and the military lined up to admit they were baffled.

Wow. Just....wow.
Maybe this was a call from Al Bore to "beam me up"...
Russian Bulava:

Clearly it’s something projected from the earth into the night sky, rather than, say, a wierd configuration of the orthern lights.
Could this be caused by sub-freezing temperatures crystallizing out water vapor?
Send probe.
It can’t have been a ground based light seen over half the country? It must be high in the atmosphere. Seems the experts are now leaning towards a Russian launch, even though the Russian denies having launched anything. Then again if the Bulava failed again I guess they would like to keep quiet about it.
That doesn’t even look real. It looks like a special effect out of a made-for-tv sci-fi movie. Strange.
Obviously this is a upper atmosphereic worm hole and
spiraling entry plume from a transiting vehicle...
I for one hail our new galactic overlords...

The video makes it look like a light show - a laser light projection on clouds, or something like that. Especially the way it uniformly dissipated from the center outwards.
It appears to be "grounded"...should be able to backtrack the source
There is a video of it, looks pretty authentic though grainey, still people hundreds of miles from all around were reporting it, whatever it was, it was real, how bizarre ...
Nordic bet is actually taking bets on what it was. Santa Claus is paying 100 times your money :-P
bttt
I saw a video this morning and it was a rocket. The picture is a 15 to 20 second exposure. It looked as though the rocket had problems.
