Even after this threat to deny American citizens their freedom of speech, President Clinton awarded Obledo the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor. CCIR question to Obledo: “Jose Angel Gutierrez said, ‘We have an aging white America, they are dying, I love it.’ How would you translate that statement?” Obledo: “He’s a good friend of mine. A very smart person.”

Reading some of the posts on this thread, I don’t believe in the coming race war b.s. My next door neighbor is a black Marine vet. (I’m a lowly squid :) ). The neighbor who am closest with in my complex is also black and he busts his ass running his own business and giving to charity on the side.
I’m white, I used to live in the “hood” in Jersey City. It wasn’t the REALLY bad part by any stretch, but when I moved there, I could count the white folks on my block on one hand and all of the buildings were large 6 - 50 unit apartment houses.
I agree there is the gang culture and all of the liberal “don’t be like whitey” crap. I agree that “Hate Crimes” are a one way street. But when I was in JC, there were a lot of honest people trying to make ends meet. You could see it in their eyes, the way they walked and the clothes they wore.
Tarring a whole race of people with a big broad brush is just stupid and beneath the dignity of anyone who purports to be a Christian.
